The sun was bright on the red carpet. Cameras flashed incessantly, fans cheered behind barriers, and reporters juggled microphones as they prepared to interview Hollywood's finest. Among the crowd was Y/N Y/L/N, who had been absent from the limelight for months, making her grand return.
Draped in a sleek, custom-designed suit, Y/N exuded grace and confidence as she walked the carpet. Despite her composed exterior, her heart raced beneath the polished surface. Tonight was more than just a performance or a nomination — it was her reentry into a world that had not stopped buzzing about her since her very public breakup with Elizabeth Olsen. It was described as an "amicable breakup due to busy schedules."
But for Y/N it will always be a night she regrets for letting the love of her life slip away.
"Y/N Y/L/N, thank you so much for stopping by," a reporter greeted her warmly, microphone in hand.
Y/N smiled and stepped closer, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "Of course, of course. How are you?"
"Better now that we get to talk to you," the reporter quipped, earning a light laugh from Y/N. "How are you feeling tonight? It's been a while since we've seen you out."
"Yeah," Y/N said with a slight nod, her voice measured. "I've been taking some time to myself, as everyone knows, but I am glad to be back. Thank you to the academy for inviting me out to perform tonight."
"We are so excited to see you perform! Can you give us any teasers about your performance?"
Y/N's eyes sparkled as she answered, "Well, I am performing 'Con La Brisa' off the soundtrack of the amazing movie 'Wakanda Forever', so I can't wait to share that with you all."
The reporter leaned in slightly, their enthusiasm evident. "You are also nominated for the song. How do you feel about that?"
"Oh, I feel extremely honored," Y/N said with a heartfelt smile. "My best friend Ludwig Göransson and I spent so much time perfecting this song for the movie, and I'm just glad people enjoyed it."
"Absolutely," the reporter said before hesitating, their tone shifting. "Now, Y/N, Elizabeth Olsen is expected to be here tonight. Since the announcement of your breakup, can we ask if there is any bad blood there or any nerves about seeing her tonight?"
Y/N's smile faltered for a fraction of a second, but she quickly recovered, maintaining her composure. "No, no, of course, there's not any bad blood," she said, shaking her head gently. "But, um... yeah, that's pretty much all I'll say about that subject. I am just really excited to be here tonight and can't wait to share the good vibes with everyone."
"Of course. Thank you so much, Y/N, and we can't wait to see your performance."
"Thank you, have a great night," Y/N replied with a polite smile, stepping away from the microphone.
