Elizabeth's POV
I wandered through the quiet, pristine rooms of my new home, my footsteps echoing faintly off the polished hardwood floors. The house was beautiful, immaculate even, but I wasn't happy. Something was missing, or rather, someone.
I ran my fingers along the edge of the marble countertop in the kitchen, pausing as I reached for a bottle of wine. Pouring myself a glass, I watched as the deep red liquid swirled.
I moved to the living room, with the glass in hand, sinking into the plush couch that had been chosen more for its appearance than comfort. I sighed, taking a long, long sip of the wine, hoping it would bring some sort of tranquility.
I reached for the remote and began flicking through the channels, the images on the screen passing by without meaning. But a familiar ache tugged at my chest and I found myself turning off the TV in frustration. I set the remote aside, my hands drifting to my phone almost instinctively. I hesitated for a moment, I was scared. I knew their press run was in full swing, but a small part of me wanted to see her.
I scrolled until my fears were confirmed. A thumbnail caught my eye—a bright image of Y/N and Olivia, their faces lit up with laughter. The title read, "House of the Dragon: Y/N and Olivia's Interview - MAX Originals".
My heart skipped a beat. I knew that I shouldn't watch it, that it would only hurt me more, but my curiosity got the better of me. I watched the video, the sound of their voices filling the room as the interview began to play.
I leaned back into the couch, and a familiar sting of jealousy and regret crept up on me. I watched the interview, my jaw clenched tightly as I stared at the screen.
Y/N and Olivia were sitting face to face, their playful banter and easy smiles lighting up the room. It was clear that they had grown even closer during the filming of the show and the chemistry between them was undeniable.
As the interviewer asked about their roles, Y/N leaned in with a grin. "Playing Rhaenyra was so much fun, but having Olivia as Alicent made it even better. I mean, come on, who wouldn't want to be locked in a power struggle with this one?" She nudged Olivia playfully, and the two of them laughed.
Olivia's eyes sparkled as she looked at Y/N. "Oh, stop it! We had so much fun together. I think we drove everyone on set crazy with our antics, but it was worth it. The dynamics between our characters are so intense, and we just fed off each other's energy."
My grip on the phone tightened. Every shared glance, every lingering touch—it was driving me mad. The way Y/N looked at Olivia, with that same softness she used to reserve only for me... it hurt.
The interview continued, filled with anecdotes from the set, moments of genuine laughter, and inside jokes that only Y/N and Olivia seemed to understand. I could feel my heart sinking with each passing second. It was as if I was watching the life I could have had.
