Caleb

"You're the reason why they're trying to kill Caleb." Milo said, and I nearly tripped, causing them to turn around.

I saw Damien carrying Milo here and I decided to follow, luckily I did. Because I don't think that they would have told me this.

"Why? Do you have any actual proof?" I say as I walk over to them. I stand next to the kneeling Damien. Milo nods before continuing.

"For some reason they want Damien, Brandon wants Damien platonically, and Lisa obviously wants Damien romantically. And they always see him around you, they realize you're important to him." Milo explains as he shifts on the bed, I could tell he knew this for a while and didn't want Damien to find this out. Knowing Damien, his reaction would be almost anything but positive.

"I didn't want to tell you because I knew how you'd react. But I'm sorry, it's my fault that the whole fight started."

The room was silent. This was the first time we all spoke to each other in a week. So the air was awkward.

"So It's my fault that Caleb is being targeted?"
Damien stood up. This was why Milo didn't want to tell him. He isn't as good at controlling his anger, and Milo knows that.

"I swear I'm going to-"

"Damien, if you do anything, I swear I'll never look at you the same. I'll hate you for the rest of my life." Milo lets out a dark growl, "This is why I didn't want to tell you. You let your anger get the best of you. As if your anger controls you."

Damien's eyes are wide as his fists unclenches.
I watched as tears began to fill the hems of his eyes and a guilty expression took over Milo's face.

"Damien I-"

"Fuck. Why am I always proving them right?" Damien grips his hair and falls to his knees. I immediately kneel down and wrap an arm around him.

"What do you mean; always proving them right?" I ask carefully as tears trickle down his cheeks. His eyes are squeezed shut and his jaw is clenched.

"My parents. Everything they say about me, it always proves to be right. I feel like I can't control my life, like I am never in control." He explained as he held back a sob. I nervously bit down on my lips as I rubbed his back.

"They say I'm useless, they say i'll always cause everyone trouble. I'm a failure, I hurt everyone I become friends with. Everyone that I'll ever care about will eventually see what a terrible person I am and leave. A-And they're always right." He sobbed as his brows furrowed, tears ran down his face faster than before. I felt my heart break into two as I watched him break down. This is the first time I've seen him cry I think.

Milo hopes down and lands on one foot, he kneels on the other side of Damien. Harshly wincing from some pain that I don't know of and pulls Damien's hands out his hair.

"Im not good with comforting words but I can tell you this; they are wrong. You are not a failure, nor are you useless. You are human, and you make mistakes, but who doesn't?" Milo uses his index finger and tilts Damien's face up and Milo smiles, "You are your own person. People don't determine your life, only you do. And we won't leave you, yea we might get upset with you at times, because you can be very... what's the word..."

"Infuriating, annoying?" I chim in which makes Milo laugh but agrees.

"Yea, those are the words. But you are so much more than what anyone gives you credit for.
You are stubborn, caring, protective, funny, flirty, idiotic, and impulsive. But that's ok.
We like you just the way you are. Ok, that's enough sweet talking for me, I think I'm getting cavities." Milo said and Damien laughs as he wipes his tears away.

"What he said, you are an amazing person. Your parents don't control your life, you do. And don't think you'll get rid of us that easily." I say as help him stand up.

Damien smiles, "Thank you, I'm so glad I met you two." He then lets out a breath, "I really needed that. Also, sorry Milo about trying to fight you-"

"Th-That's fine. But please help me up." Milo lets out and we realize that he was still on the floor, Damien immediately helps him back onto the bed.

"What happened to you?" I tilt my head and I spot the purple brusie that wrapped around his neck. He was strangled. "Was it-"

Before I could get my sentence out the door was opened and there was Mr Axel. He walked in and I felt my my anger level rising as he walked over to us.

"I saw you being carried in here. Are you alright?" He innocently asks. He had four scratches across his face, the look as if he'd had just received them. Blood was slightly dripping, like he didn't clean the wound as good as he should. Regardless, I knew he was the one that was responsible for that bruise around Milo's neck, and responsible his old wounds looking purple.

"You really should put ice on that." He said as he stood next to Damien. Which is definitely not a good idea. I looked down and watched Damien clenching his fist so tight it turned white.

He can't seem to control his anger, so I'll help him and make it a bit easier

I slipped my hand into his and he turned to me and I shook my head no. He sucked in his lips before letting out a sigh and nodding before looking at Mr Axel again.

"What do you want?" I ask, "This doesn't concern you."

"I just want to make sure my campers are safe. He looks like he was attacked, and I want to make sure he's ok." He tells us as he casually rests a hand on Milo's shoulder, before turning to Milo. My eye twitches.

Get your hand off him

"You alright?" He smiled, and Milo couldn't look anymore pissed. Usually, an average person that was attacked and nearly killed by a guy is intimidated by a situation like this. But if course not Milo. Instead he grabbed Mr Axel's wrist and dug his nails into his skin and smile.

"I'm great, you? You look like you were scratched badly."

The tension is thin, as if any second now a fight was about to break out. But I knew it wouldn't. He wouldn't attack when all three of us were together.

I watch as I saw blood slowly trickling down Mr Axel's wrist and drip onto the floor. After a few seconds the two let go.

"I hope you had a swell summer Milo, and you too Caleb. Lets hope nothing happens to stop it." Then he left, closing the door behind us.

"Was that a threat?" Damien said, glaring at the door.

"I think that was a warning."
