Damien

"It's Damien's turn." Caleb said, "What I started to like you is how you started to show your caring side. How you don't care about who you make mad for the people you actually care about."

"What I started to like about you is how you care about people. How loyal you are towards the people you care about, not to mention your character development since you got here." Said Milo.

My heart skipped a few beats as they carelessly told me the things that made them start liking me. I knew I was heading in the right direction with them. They trust me with their whole hearts, and so do I.

"I'm so glad I met you two." I say as I lean forward and press a quick kiss on both of their lips before sitting back down. Both their faces are a tint of pink.

"I know this is sudden, and we only started just going out. But I know camp is going to end in a matter of weeks, and I don't want to ask this too late, in case something happens." I say as I clear my throat, "Will you two be my boyfriends?"

"O-oh, I didn't except that." Milo's face turned even redder, "but I will."

"Yes, I will." Caleb says with a casual smile as he shifts and sits on his calves.

I let out the breath that I didn't even know I was holding. I felt my whole body relaxed. So it's official, they're my boyfriends. Im so glad I came to camp. Just to think I almost didn't go.

"Damien."

"Hm?" I look at Milo.

"You never did tell me what you tattoo meant." He responded as he held my arms, gently tracing the dragon tattoo that wrapped around my arm.

"A dragon reminds me of myself; Easily upset and hurts everyone around me, even if they have nothing to do with it. People either hate a dragon, or they suck up to it so they won't get hurt." This is how I am. I don't know why I am like this, but I hate it. I don't mean to hurt people, especially the one's I care about. But it just happens and I feel like I can't control it sometimes.

"Dragons are also strong, they protect castles and the people inside. And the people inside that castle like the dragon." Caleb counters with a smile as he grabbed my hand, "You aren't a bad person, you've just made some bad decisions."

"You're really good with words."

"Thanks."

***

"How come you know so much about stars." I ask Milo, who had been talking about constellation for the past 20 minutes. I wasn't judging at all, but he's probably the first person I know to know so much about stars.

"Ever since I was younger I've had a thing for stars, and I still do if you can't tell." Milo said as he continued to look up at the starry sky. Tonight was a full moon with no clouds in the sky.

Caleb stood up, which made the both of us look at him. "Can we go into the water?"

"Are you sure?" I ask hesitantly. Everytime he goes in the water he sinks. One of these days he's gonna actually drown. He almost did last time.

"I wanna learn how to swim."

Milo stand ups and takes his shirt off, showing his bare chest. I've only seen without a shirt a few times, so seeing him without his shirt is always a surprise. His pale skin with his small waist, along with his Medusa tattoo on his back.
Caleb soon takes his shirt off, he is toned. He works out to keep in shape and it definitely paid off. I wonder what he benches and squats.

"You coming?" Caleb asked.

Standing up I toss my shirt to the side and we all make our way to the water. We reach a point to where our shoulder and up is dry and the rest of our body in submerged in the water.

"Do you know how to float on your back?" I ask, and he shakes his head no. "I'm going to show you how I was taught." I grab him and swiftly pull him into my arms. And he latches on to me for dear life.

"Wh-What are you doing?"

"Teaching you, now you gotta trust me and let go." I say as I hold back my laughter. I can tell he doesn't want to but he eventually lets me go. And when I say slowly. I mean he let me go very slowly.

"Stay calm and just breath. My hand is on your back, I won't let you go." I say and he lets in a breath before deeply letting it out, and his body relaxes.

"I wish my dad taught me like this." Milo says, which makes me tilt my head. Isn't every kid that is taught, taught like this?

"What do you mean? How were you taught?"

"My dad threw me in the water when I was 9 and told me not to swallow any water, and I would float. And I did, that's how I was taught."

What? You can't just toss a kid that doesn't know how to swim into the water and expect that kid to float. He could've killed Milo. Now I'm concerned on how they taught him with other things.

I let my hand fall from Caleb's back, and he floats. Not noticing my hand is gone.

"You can let me go now. I wanna try to float on my own."

I laughed a bit, "I stopped holding you a while ago. You've been floating on your own."

His face lights up, "Really?"

"Yea you are floating by yourself. This is how a person is supposed to be taught, not thrown in the water carelessly." I look at Milo, who rolls his eyes with a small laugh following.

"He had interesting teaching methods, but I learned." Milo shrugged.

I look around and see that Caleb has floated away into the deeper part of the lake. He was about six feet out.

"Oh shit." I whisper, so Caleb wouldn't hear. Because he would question what us wrong and realized that he's far out and begin to panic and sink.

I swim over to him and pull him back, which confused him until he realized that he was far out. And he once again clinged onto me. His legs wrapped around my waist and arms around my neck.

"At least you floated far." Milo said as he tried to cheer up Caleb, who was clinging on me like he was about to die.

"Shush, I just watched my life flash before my eyes."
