Milo

"So I have to live here since for the next three months?" I say as I watch teenagers grab bags and luggage from their cars before waving their parents bye.

"Yep, don't worry It'll be fun. I went here when I was a kid, and I loved it." My mom exclaimed, "Not to mention here is where I got my first crush."

I'm not big on people, I actually prefer to be by myself. But that's the whole reason why my mom signed me up, to socialize with people my age.
And to be honest I hate this already.

I know why she really brought me here. My father passed away a few months ago and I distanced myself from my family and very few friends I had. So she wants mto make friends here, and distract me from that.

"Now go enjoy your summer." She pushes me forward and I groan before walking towards the entrance. This is we're I lose my dignity.

"Hello, what's your name?"

"Milo Browne."

"Oh, I see your name, Milo Brown-e." She states, "Come on in."

I hate when people mispronounce my last name. I even said how my name is pronounced and she just completely ignored that.

I hear loud music and I turn my head. It came from a black car. A guys steps out. He has a dragon tattoo wrapped around his arm, along with a few piercings. He's muscular and taller than most. Looks like one of the guys back home. He has a cigar in between his fingers, he drops it on the ground before stomping on it.

I don't want to share a cabin with him. He looks like trouble, and I don't want to be in trouble on the first damn day.

Where the hell am I supposed to go?

Maybe were the other teens are gathering

I go over to where my peers gathered, trying to stay a good distance away from people, but it doesn't work because other people surrounded me.

Just great

"Hey, what's your name?"

I look to the left of me, "Milo."

"Cool, my name is Michael!" He beams and he continues on about how he's half demon or some shit. Yea, he's definitely on my weird list.

Weird list, Michael

"Ok campers!" A man shouts, which gets the guy next to me to shut up. Which I was so happy. I knew him for not even five minutes and I wanted to sufficate him with a pillow.

"This is your home for the summer, and I hope you enjoy it like I did when I was you age. I made so many memories when I was a child. And I've made many memories running this camp because of kids like yourself. So I hope you enjoy these next 3 months, making memories and new friends."

I wonder if he's said the same thing each summer before this.

"Anyways, lets get you guys settled in your cabins. There are 15 cabins, and five of you guys will be in each cabin. So lets sort that out. Your Cabin leaders will collect you and take you to your new home for the next 3 months, I'll see you all tonight for when you will sit around the fire. But until then go unpack."
