"So, how's your leg?" Blake sits next to me, causing the bench to creak.
"It feels fine. But they still don't want me to be too active." I cross my arms, letting out an angry huff. "But I think it's fine now, as long as I don't stomp on it."
"Really? That's good!" Blake stands up with a smile, "Wait, who told you to not be too active?"
"My watch dogs; Caleb and Damien." I roll my eyes at the memory of them telling me what to do and not do on this leg. "Um, where is Cameron? I thought you two were gonna go swimming together."
"He's trying to talk to Mia. And it's kinda embarrassing." He clears his throat, "Since he isn't, how about you sit on the dock and get your toes wet."
"I can swim."
"Oh, then come swim!" He grabs my wrist and pulls me up before dragging me out to the dock.
He pulls his shirt off and jumps in the water.
Once he rises above the water he spits some water that he unintentionally almost swallowed.I chuckle before pulling my shirt off and jumping in. Once my head is above the water I look around for him but I don't find him.
"Blake?" I call out before feeling something graze my foot. "What the -" Im snatched under the water and I see Blake smiling as he swam past me."
I swam up once again, and this time I actually saw him, laughing. Blake isn't weird when he isn't talking about his conspiracy theories. He's actually pretty cool.
"Thanks for not treating me like I'm handicapped." I tell Blake and he chuckles before splashing me with water.
"Even if you are a handicap."
"Har, har, so funny." I splash him back.
"I know, I'm a comedian." I roll my eyes at him.
We stayed in the lake for a long time, splashing and playing around. After an hour or so he asks me if I wanna leave but I tell him I'm staying, but he can go. I stay, looking at the sun. It looks like it was going to be setting soon.
"Blake said you were here." I hear Caleb. I look up at the dock and see one of my guard dogs sitting on the dock. I subconsciously smile when I see him.
"You should get in."
"I can't swim, remember?" He states blandly.
"Ill hold you. I promise I won't let you go." I hold a hand out for him. He hesitants. "I don't wanna force you. If you don't want to -"
"N-No, I'll get in. But you promise not to drop me?" He asked for reassurance and I laughed once more.
"Only a fool would drop you."
"Was that an Aladdin quote?" He snickered as his brow raised.
"Maybe."
He pulled his shirt off, revealing his toned body, how come I haven't noticed? Stop thinking about that!
He sits on the dock, right above me. Taking a breath, he drops, and I catch him. He clings onto me like I was the only thing between him and death. To be fair, I was.
"Don't you dare drop me!" His legs dangle, intertwined with mine, while his arms are wrapped around my chest so tight that I can barely muster a breath.
"I won't, I promise. Calm down, and breathe." I say softly, and he does just as I say. But his deadly grip around me doesn't faulter.
"See? I got you."
We sit in silence, looking at the sun. Doesn't mean I haven't caught him repeatedly sneaking glances at me.
"Have anything to say?" I raised my brow.
"Oh, u-uh. Something was on your face."
"Like what?"
"Ugliness."
"You know Im the only thing between you, and drowning."
"I'll take you down with me." He gave a cheeke grin, and I rolled my eyes.
"You wanna learn how to swim?" He immediately nods. "Im about to do something, but you can't freak out."
"H-Huh - wait!" I let him go, and he wrapped his legs around my waist. "You said you wouldn't let me go!"
"You wanted to learn how to swim. You're gonna have to trust me, and yourself a bit. Breath and let me go, if you sink I promise to save you."
"Promise?"
"Promise."
He took a breath and slowly began to let me go, the moment he had full let me go he began to panic and sank, instinctively I grabbed him and quickly pulled him up. He clung onto me, his legs and arm wrapped around me like laces on shoes.
His face was buried in the crook of my neck.
My face became a deep shade of red as I felt each of his breathes, along with him muttering something."Hey, hey, see? I got you." I say as I held him. Realizing that my neck was a sensitive spot that I didn't know having.
"What if I get pushed in again?" He mumbled.
"Your not, Damien swore to never push you -"
"Im not talking about Damien. When I was 13 my uncle took me out to a pond, but instead of us fishing, he shoved me into the lake knowing I couldn't swim a-and -" His breathing was unstable and his voice was trembling.
"Hey, it's alright...we don't have to swim. Let's get out."
"I wanna stay in with you. I j-just don't wanna drown." My face immediately became hotter as that rolled off his tongue. Stop thinking that! He needs to be comforted right now!
"And I won't let that happen. I put that on my life." I hold him tighter. He nods, not taking his head out from my neck. His arms shift from around my neck, to under my arms, now where he's holding me.
After a while the sun set and we figured it was time to leave. We got out of the water, grabbed our dry shirts and pulling them over ourselves before heading back to the cabin.
"Where were you two - oh, nevermind." Damien said as he was laying in his bed with paper, making origami. He made quite a few roses. Actually he made only roses.
"Yea, I'm getting in the shower first." Caleb said as he walked into the bathroom closing the door.
Once he had got out I got in. After that I was tired, so I immediately laid in my bed.But when my head hit the pillow I heard something, something like paper. I sat up a bit and lifted up my blanket to find a rose origami.
I looked off my bed and saw Damien, he realized I found his origami and just smiled at me before laying down in his bed.I smiled and placed the origami on the side of me while I laid back down.
