Caleb

"We're having another canoe day campers, so go grab a life jacket and pick your partners!" A woman with blonde hair and blue eyes shouts as she stands on a dock.

Shit... this day was earlier than we all thought. We literally just found out about them planning our deaths literally a few days ago.

"We were supposed to do this 3 days ago, but Mr Axel moved the date. So I hope you enjoy yourselves."

I looked for Damien, he said he would be running late because be couldn't find his shoes.
Blake hid his shoes last night as a prank when we were sleeping and didn't tell us where he hid them. I'm really starting to wish I had stayed up to know where Blake hid them.

"Mr Axel had requested that Caleb Winston be paired with Lisa Reynolds and Brandon Hills." She explained and I began to chew on my lips. Where is Damien? There is no way that Blake hid them that well.

"Can I take Caleb's place? Or at least join his canoe?" Milo desperately asked the woman, to which she says no.

"It's a request from Mr Axel, unless the people in the canoe want you to join them, then you can't. Sorry kid."

After a minute or two she tells us to get in the canoe's and I slowly make my way to my death. Just as I was about to step in there was a shout.

"Wait! I'm here!" Damien runs up to me, clearly out of breath. His hands are on his knees as he pants.

"Lucky you made it here in time. Now choose a canoe."

"I w–want this one, with–with Lisa and Brandon." He stands straight after he's caught his breath, the lady looks in the canoe that Brandon and Lisa are in, that I have one foot in, to see if they want Damien in the canoe.

"Yes!" Lisa exclaimed as she basically yanked Damien in the Canoe. And since I'm assigned to this canoe, I get in as well. This could go so many ways, but I have Damien here with me. I trust him.

"3...2...1... Go!" She screamed and we all started to paddle. Brandon was in front, Lisa was behind  Brandon, Damien was behind Lisa and I was behind Damien. Lisa was talking to Damien about what a cute couple they'd be. Which obviously made me jealous, I was basically glaring at her from behind Damien's head. But she was too preoccupied with talking her lips off to my boyfriend.

I look around and see that we are neck and neck with Olivia and her group of people. She looks over at us and smirks before looking back at a person on her canoe. Before I knew it one of the girls managed to grab the paddle from Damien and toss it in the water. This is the second time they've done this. It was starting to get old.

"Damnit." I hear Damien mumble before letting a sigh escape him. He stands and jumps into the water after the paddle.

I look up and see that Lisa has already made her way to me, she glaring daggers into my soul. Which I wasn't intimidated by. She's like 5'1 and 118 pounds. I wasn't gonna hit a girl, then she would report me for hitting her for no reason. Even if I say she came at me, I'd still be in the wrong.

"You don't know how long I've waited for this. I've been wanting to cut you out of the picture for so long." She grabbed my collar and I blankly stared at her unamused. She looks annoyed that I wasn't intimidated and she pushes me, but I don't fall in, instead I shove her off of me and she stumbles.
