Milo

I hear faint talk, as if it was drowned out. My eyes flap open and I see Caleb and Damien sitting on the edge of the ambulance chatting.

I was no longer attached to the breathing machine. I slowly sit up, and the bed creaks, they both turn around from the sudden noise and realize that I was up.

"How do you feel?" Damien was the first to ask, I raised my arms into the air and stretched, letting out a yawn.

"I feel refreshed." I say as I stood off the bed and walked over to them, they moved so I could sit between them. I look out and see that it was the evening. The sun was about to set soon.

"I was expecting to eat marshmallows this summer, not have two boyfriends and almost die several times." I let out a sigh and they both gave a simple chuckle.

"Same, but I don't think I'd change meeting you guys." Caleb chimes in as he stare at the orange-looking clouds pass.

"Me neither."

"I think we are like star-crossed lovers who didn't die. Unlike Juliet and Romeo." Calebs adds, I raise a brow. Star-crossed lovers are necessarily people who are meant to be.

"Are we meant to be?"

"I don't know, are we?" Caleb shrugs. "Whether we are or not, I wouldn't want anything to change."

"Besides the whole, all most dying like 5 times. I think I would change that." Damien adds in with a small chuckle as he also gazes at the sky.

All our attention directs to Mr Williams who walks over to us, with guilt in his eyes.
"I want to tell you that I'm sorry on my brother's behalf. I should have known what he was up to.

"It's fine, we're still breathing."

"You're acting like the two of us weren't just on a breathing treatment a while ago." Caleb counters.

"He is going away for a long time, I'm positive of it." Mr Williams continues to explain. Knowing that he's going to be in jail put me at ease.

"What are you gonna do about camp?"

"I think I'll just sell the property. I just don't want to continue this anymore. I've dialed all your parents, you all should be going home soon, I just hope they don't sue." He clears his throat before taking off his bat, "But I'm lucky you made friends with the guys you hated during the start of the summer." He then walks in the opposite direction and we all snicker.

"Yep, we are best friends." I say, holding back a laugh.

"I don't think friends make you come three times in one night." Said Damien, his voice slightly deeper that before. My face flushed red as the scenes from that night came crashing into my mind. I feel Caleb's finger trace up my spine and I subconsciously arch, my face going even redder and I jump down from the truck.

"I'm-"

"Milo!" I hear my mom and I instantly whip my head around and see her quickly making her way over to me and embracing me with a hug.

"Mom!" I shout hugging her back, not expecting her to be here so soon. Also hoping she didn't hear the comment Damien just made.

"I can't believe all this happened at a summer camp. I'm sorry for bring you here, you probably hated every second of it." She pulls away before ruffling my hair.
