Mina and Aya hovered anxiously by Mav's side as paramedics tended to her.

The dorm hallway buzzed with activity, voices echoing off the walls as medical personnel worked swiftly to stabilize Mav.

Mav's head wound was treated carefully, and the gauze pressed against her temple to stem the bleeding. She remained unconscious, her breathing shallow but steady.

Aya's hands trembled as she watched, guilt gnawing at her for not being able to protect her friend.

Outside the room, Aya turned to Mina, her voice urgent. "What happened out there, Mina? Why was Mav on the ground?"

Mina shook her head, her brow furrowed with worry. "I don't know, Aya. Basta nakita ko lang nakahiga na siya dun," she replied, her voice tinged with concern.

Suddenly, Mav stirred, her eyes fluttering open. Everything was blurry, but she could make out the figure of her mom beside her.

"Ma?" Mav croaked, her voice hoarse.

Her mom's worried expression softened as she leaned closer. "Mav, anak, how are you feeling?" she asked gently, brushing hair from Mav's forehead.

Mav blinked, trying to clear her vision. "I'm okay," she managed, her head throbbing with pain. "Where's Aya?"

Mav's mom glanced towards the doorway where Aya, Mina, and Shi stood anxiously waiting. "She's outside with Mina and Shi," she reassured Mav, her voice steady despite her concern.

A wave of relief washed over Mav as she realized her friends were safe. "Thank goodness," she murmured, her eyelids growing heavy again.

Mav's mom's expression grew more serious as she gently touched Mav's cheek. "What happened, Mav? Na-suspend ka na nga, tas ngayon malalaman ko toh?"

Mav's memories flooded back in a rush.

Cream.

The warning.

The sudden attack.

"Cream," Mav whispered, her voice trembling with emotion. "Hinampas niya ako."

Mav's mom gasped. "Oh, Mavise Jian," she breathed, her eyes welling with tears. "How could this happen?"

Inside, Mav struggled to find the strength to explain. "I... I warned Aya. I warned them all," she managed, her words strained. "But Cream... she..."

Before Mav could finish, a nurse entered the room, checking Mav's vitals and adjusting her IV. Mav's mom stepped back, allowing the medical team to work.

Aya, Mina, and Shi approached cautiously, their faces etched with worry and disbelief. "Mav," Aya whispered, her voice breaking.

Mav managed a weak smile, tears pooling in her eyes. "I'm sorry," she choked out, her voice barely audible. "I tried to warn you."

Aya reached for Mav's hand, squeezing it gently. "You did, Mav," she said softly. "And we're here now. We're going to make sure you're okay."

The room fell into a heavy silence as they processed the gravity of what had transpired.

Outside, the dorm was abuzz with police activity, investigating the shooting and ensuring the safety of everyone involved.

Hours passed as Mav underwent further treatment and monitoring.

The doctors assured them that she was stable.

As evening approached, Mav's mom stayed by her side, refusing to leave despite the exhaustion etched on her face.
