Chapter 53: Final

After winning and picture-taking, Mav waved a farewell goodbye to her teammates respectfully, congratulating her team.

She moved towards Aya, asking if she was ready to go back to the art auditorium.

Aya seemed nervous, quiet, and unsure. Mav told her it was okay.

"I left after finishing my work to go to your game," Aya confessed, looking down at the floor.

Mav's expression softened. "You should've waited. I know you won the contest."

Aya jokingly hit Mav's arm, acting shy. "You always know how to make me feel better, don't you?"

Suddenly, Loui went up to the two, smiling and pushing Mav's shoulder playfully.

"Congrats on the game, Mav!"

Mav saw Aya's mood shift, knowing Aya definitely was jealous. She held Aya's waist, making sure Loui saw it.

Loui stepped back a bit, saying, "Congrats, Lim. Seems like you've already changed."

"Of course, I changed," Mav said, looking at Aya lovingly. "I've got the best motivation now."

Loui then cut off their moment by saying, "I moved to this university yesterday, just so you know." Loui walked past them, seeming bitter, but stopped and looked back at Aya. "I like your shirt, by the way," Loui said, noticing it was Mav's shirt.

Loui then left them, questions swirling in both Mav's and Aya's minds.

Aya worried, "Is she here to get back with Mav?"

She knew about Mav and Loui's past history.

Mav was thinking the same thing.

Noticing Aya's face falling, Mav cupped Aya's face, saying, "Let's go to the auditorium na."

Mav was about to walk when she saw Aya looking at her, hoping for reassurance.

Mav walked back to her, saying, "Don't worry, ikaw na at ikaw lang, Aya. So please, can we now go to get your prize na?"

Aya's mood lightened. "Sira ka talaga, sige na nga. Kuhang-kuha mo na naman ako, Lim."

Mav and Aya walked towards the auditorium.

While walking, Aya clung to Mav's arm. They talked, and finally, they arrived.

Mav asked, "The ranking is still not done, I suppose?" since it was only revealing the top 3.

Aya nodded, her grip tightening on Mav's arm. "Yeah, but I'm so nervous. What if I didn't make it?"

Mav kissed the top of Aya's head. "You did your best, and that's all that matters."

Finally, they revealed the first on the ranking.

Mav glanced at Aya, who was nervous, holding Aya's hand.

Aya looked at her and smiled, resting her head on Mav's shoulder.

Mav whispered, "You're going to be ranked 1."

Aya shook her head lightly. "Joke time ka na naman, Mavy."

Suddenly, rank 1 was revealed to be "Miraya Quinley Arceta."

Aya's eyes widened, and Mav clapped and cheered, very proud of Aya.

People looked at Mav weirdly, but she didn't care.

Aya went up to the stage shyly, looking back at Mav. Mav mouthed, "Go get your prize, Babe."

Aya's cheeks turned pink.
