Approaching the convenience store, Aya's excitement was palpable.

The small shop had become a familiar spot for them, a haven for late-night snacks and sudden visits.

The bell above the door chimed cheerfully as they entered, the warm interior welcoming them with shelves stocked full of snacks, drinks, and assorted essentials.

Behind the counter stood the elderly cashier whom Aya had befriended since her freshman year.

"Lola!" Aya exclaimed, hurrying over to greet the elderly woman with a hug. "I brought a friend. Si Mavise po."

Mav stepped forward, extending her hand warmly to bless. "Hello po, Lola."

"Such a lovely lady. Ang ganda-ganda naman ng kasama mo, ija." The two just smiled.

As they browsed the aisles, Aya's eyes lit up with recognition as she spotted the snack section. "La, do you have any new treats?" she asked eagerly.

Lola nodded, reaching under the counter to retrieve a box filled with assorted snacks. "Just got these in. Take a look."

Aya eagerly sorted through the snacks, picking out a few favorites and some new additions. "These will be perfect for our late-night movie marathons," she remarked with a grin.

Mav chuckled, enjoying the lively banter between Aya and Lola.

She felt a sense of warmth and belonging in the store, knowing it held a special place in Aya's heart.

After paying for their snacks and exchanging a few more words with Lola, they left the store, the cool night air refreshing after the warmth inside.

They walked back to their dormitory, hand in hand, the sky painted in shades of twilight.

The day had been filled with moments of joy and reflection, leaving them both with a sense of contentment and anticipation for what lay ahead.

Mav glanced at Aya, her heart overflowing with affection and admiration.

Today had reaffirmed just how special Aya was to her, and she couldn't help but feel grateful for their company.

As they strolled along the quiet streets, Mav looked forward to the future.

As they passed under the soft glow of streetlights, Mav noticed Aya's thoughtful expression. "Hey, Aya, okay ka lang ba?" she asked softly, squeezing Aya's hand gently.

Aya blinked, returning from her reverie. She smiled reassuringly at Mav. "Ah, wala, may naalala lang," she replied cryptically, not elaborating further.

Mav nodded understandingly, deciding not to press further.

She knew Aya sometimes had moments of reflection, and she respected her friend's privacy. "Alright," she said with a gentle squeeze of Aya's hand. "Just know I'm here if you ever want to talk about it."

Aya smiled gratefully, feeling the warmth of Mav. "Salamat, Mavy," she said softly. Then, sensing Mav's concern, she added with a playful nudge, "Uy, 'Wag kang mag-alala ha."

Mav chuckled softly, relieved to see Aya's usual lightheartedness shining through. "Oo na," she replied.

They continued their walk in comfortable silence, the sound of their footsteps echoing softly against the pavement.

The night air was crisp and cool, carrying with it the promise of a peaceful night ahead.

As they approached their dormitory, Mav squeezed Aya's hand one more time, silently conveying her affection.

Aya glanced over at Mav, her heart swelling with gratitude for the friendship they shared.

Together, they stepped through the door of their dormitory.
