Please check out the earlier chapter if you haven't already. Because of some Wattpad glitch, notifications haven't popped.
This is my first attempt at writing a proposal or romance. It's minimal but I tried. I will need feedback on this aspect for sure.
Please feel free to say if it's not up my alley. I would like to work on it.
Happy reading!
Thank you!
Outside Aradhna's Mumbai Residence:
Neil was waiting outside Aradhna's Apartment, and he was perfectly dressed for the occasion in a casual black blazer with a red casual tee shirt and black denims. He wanted to match Aradhna's saree if she chose to honour his request. Aradhna didn't make him wait much like always. She rushed towards the car as soon as she spotted it and waved at Neil enthusiastically.
Neil was mesmerized by her beauty, so elegantly draped in a tomato red saree which elevated her fair complexion a notch higher. Her body language was very casual, and she didn't behave like a dolled-up princess much to Neil's disbelief. She didn't even wear heels like every other time she came to meet him.
Aradhna believed that heels are only for formal occasions or when they become necessary to accentuate the outfit. Given a choice, she would live her life with a pair of flip flops in the name of footwear. She opened the door and took her seat in the front passenger seat. Her swift movements brought him out of his zone.
"On time Mr.Birla!" Aradhna complimented.
"Anything for you my lady" Neil said by taking a bow while still seated. Aradhna laughed and he joined.
"You make the iconic red saree look better than it ever was!" Neil complimented her once they were calm. Aradhna blushed.
She isn't a very shy woman most of the times, but Neil managed to make her blush. There is something in the way he compliments that gets her heart racing.
"Thank you for obliging." He said as he took her right palm in his hand and lifted it up till it was close to his face.
He looked at her for any resistance but found none. So, he leaned forward and pecked it in gratitude.
"My pleasure" She responded. Aradhna could feel the butterflies and that was a first for her as far as her memory goes.
In the past, she never was so responsive to a mere touch or a peck. Aradhna was more of a buddy to her ex-boyfriend, and they were more of friends turned lovers. They misunderstood their close friendship to be more than just friendship and got into a relationship. They were all fine for the first few months and really enjoyed each other's company.
But when the dynamics changes after getting into a relationship, things started falling out of place. Until they were still trying to adjust to each other, they were positive about this but once they understood each other's priorities and preferences with passing time, they almost knew that their future was bleak.
