At The Hotel Room:
Roohi was about to grab her phone and sit down to answer her fans when Abhir walked in from the smaller attached room of the suite and Roohi's face paled. She looked at him with wide eyes and mentally cursed him for even broaching the topic. That too in front of their father. Roohi was in no mood to even think about studying and was super worried that her father might push her to get done with her assignments which she sneakily postponed.
She wasn't really particular about her scores or results because Abhimanyu never stressed on them. Her Poppy was all about the process and if she somehow successfully evades the process, she will do good with her intentions. But who will tell her that she was terribly wrong in even thinking of such things?
If Abhimanyu even gets a whiff of it, she will be very sorry.
Abhimanyu was luckily not in the room as Anahita called him up to assure one of his patients personally that they will be taken care of by trusted doctors from Birla Hospital and also that he would oversee the treatment.
It wasn't a new thing for any of them. Everybody who got treated by Abhimanyu, just wanted him as their doctor and nobody else. As big a compliment that may be, it often creates trouble for Abhimanyu.
He has a tough time explaining them how it is absolutely okay to be under another experienced Doctor under his supervision. Because Abhimanyu alone can't possibly manage so many cases especially when most of them are either critical or life threatening. The euphoria that surrounds the enigma that Dr.Abhimanyu Birla has only improved with time.
He is someone who is known to be very strict with his patients and also was very particular about the treatment process. Even after that his popularity never reduced by a whisker. That was a good problem to have but whenever he had to take a break for personal reasons, this very thing came in the way. Fortunately for Roohi, at least according to her, that call saved her day.
She rushed to Abhir without wasting a second and whacked him, "Kya hain tera? Kyun books leke aaya? Kal padhlena Bhai. Mera rehearsal aur dress trials honge kal.
Tab jitna chahe padhlo. Abhi keliye apna gyaan kamane ke yeh saadhan kripaya ander lejayiye...isse pehle ki Poppy aye aur mujhe padhne bithadein. Please please please" She pleaded Abhir who felt pity for her.
His dear sister was definitely in a delusion with regards to their father's memory and way of working even after knowing how his brain works.
"Padhlo na thodi der aap bhi. Papa ke bolne se pehle aap padhne lag jaoge na, jaldi khatam bhi kar sakte aur woh kuch nahi bolenge. Company dene keliye main bhi hoon na." Abhir took pity and gave her a very useful suggestion.
"Kuch bhi mat bol tu. Tujhe company chahiye toh kya meri bali chadadega? Mujhe sachi nahi man hain padhne ka. Poppy nahi manenge aaj." Roohi tried coaxing Abhir.
"Kyunki aap already bahut baar postpone kar chuke ho, bahane bana chuke ho and woh maan chuke hain. Right?" Abhir stated.
"That's exactly why I am begging you to not bring this upon me. Poppy ko jitne chances dene the woh de chuke. Abhi nakhre kiye na maine...... toh daant padegi mujhe.
Kal itna special din tha mera. Aaj tu mujhe daant khate dekhna chahta hain kya Birla Boy?" She tried to talk him out of it.
Abhir was about to burst her bubble about Abhimanyu being the one behind his sudden mood for studying but Roohi didn't let him. She took the bag and the book from him and scurried to keep it in the other room before Abhimanyu made his way back. Abhir was getting irritated by Roohi's aversion to hearing him out in that situation.
