"Thea, we're not supposed to go there," Hazel says.

I would be damned about what everyone wants me to do. I was going to Hogwarts I was going to fight. For my mother at the very least.

Hazel was holding my arm, while Willam lists everything that could go wrong, if we went to the war.
"I'm going," I said firmly, "You don't have to come with me."

William looked at me, his expression a mix of frustration and fear "Are you insane? If they catch you, they'll kill you"

"They're going to kill all of us anyway, so what difference does it make?" I shot back, my voice sharper than I intended.

Hazel's grip on my arm tightened, "Don't say things like that" she said quietly. "We're not all going to die."

"Really?" I retorted. "What makes you so sure? Have you already seen the future?"

William huffed, "This isn't a joke, Thea. This is serious."

"Then stop treating me like a child" I replied, my frustration boiling over "You all knew about my mother's death. None of you. None you bothered to tell me!"

Hazel flinched and looked down, "You had just somehow cams back alive from Azkaban! It wasn't the right time!" William chimes in.

"When was the supposed to be the right time?!" I exclaimed, the anger and bitterness I've been holding back for months seeping into my voice.

"It doesn't matter now," William said, reaching for my arm. "The past is in the past."

I wrenched my arm out of his grasp, "Of course it matters! You all lied to me. All of you!"

William let out an exasperated sigh.

"If you want to run away. Please do so. I will not!" I snapped

Hazel intervened, her voice gentle but firm, "No one said you're running away."

I turned my glare towards her, "You might as well. What have we been doing hiding in this cabin? People are dying out there!"

"We've all lost someone," William interjected. "None of us are safe."

"Exactly!" I exclaimed, my eyes blazing with anger and heartbreak. "So why are we hiding in here, waiting for death to find us? We should be fighting!"

Hazel looked torn between wanting to comfort me and knowing I was making sense.

William gave me a pleading look. "Thea, please, just listen -"

"No!" I cut him off, my voice almost a shout. "I'm not going to listen! I'm not going to hide anymore! I'm tired of being the weak one, the one everyone has to protect. I can handle myself!"

"We know you can!" Hazel protested.

"If you don't want to fight. You shouldn't. But I will. I'm going" I say finally, turning around towards the door.

"Thea, wait.." Hazel called after me, but I didn't stop. I was done hiding. I was done listening.

Hogwarts was crumbling, people were dying left and right. I kept my hood up. Trying to hide from the death eaters eyes. The castle was in chaos. Spells were flying in all directions, the air filled with screams of pain and anguish. I kept to the shadows, ducking between corridors and behind rubble, trying to pull people out of the dangerous area.
