I stood at the edge of the train, gazing into the distance pensively in thought - my coat ruffling in the winds.

'Was this worth it ?' I asked.

'Should i just call it off now ?'

Someone was definitely going to follow after Delta, especially now that they have most likely known that she had failed.

I slowly ripped her suit off at the laceration sight to better access the extent of her injuries.

I cursed after nudging the skin - finding out that the threads had just as suspected entered deep and most likely severed and nicked a few veins and major arteries.

"Idiot ..." I insulted, tenderly placing my palm on her chest and channeling a generous of my energy into her body to expedite her recovery.

I withdrew my palm with a nod of satisfaction as a purple outline appeared around her body; the magic working as intended.

Carefully i scribbled shadow's seal of displacement beside her, with its location being the "shadow garden"

I smirked as it glowed at the ready.

They'll probably think shadow (me) saved her from a gruesome death at the hands of john smith.

I lightened up, daydreaming of all of the possible scenarios that will be going through their pretty little heads when they saw it.

I nodded in satisfaction after i was done, smacking my palms together in apprieciation at my handiwork.

That was a few hours earlier.

Definitely someone of a higher calibur would have been sent to complete the work she had failed by now.

And i knew just who that would be.

I gazed downwards in pensive silence, musing on why i must continue with this identity a little while longer.

I didn't enjoy hurting my girls and I certainly will not enjoy hurting her.

But .....

I smirked, hardening my resolve as i readjusted my mask.

But john smith is needed and the only proper way for this obstacle to be overcome.

A symphony played with a flash, grasping my full attention as she appeared with a flicker up above.

Cruising effortlessly in the air with her back towards me - her blond hair cascading in the wind.

I smiled with a sense of pride and admiration, barely missing her approach.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, John smith." She greeted.

Damn, she really is the best.

"Now ... goodbye." She stated, skillfully spinning around and congealing a blade from her palm with her magic.

Sparks emitted as we collided with a clink, the two of us pushed aside by the force of impact.
