The sun was setting behind the rolling hills of Taylor & Travis' Kansas City estate, casting a golden glow over the sprawling property. The household was filled with the usual hustle and bustle, but tonight there was a special sense of anticipation in the air. Ophelia had something important on her mind, something she had been eager to share with her mother.

Ophelia sat at the grand piano in the living room, her fingers lightly grazing the keys. She had inherited her mother's love for music, spending countless hours writing songs and practicing her vocals. Tonight, however, she was ready to take the next step.

Taylor walked into the room, her presence warm and inviting as always. She smiled at the sight of her daughter at the piano. "Hey, sweetie. What's on your mind?"

Ophelia looked up, her blue eyes sparkling with a mix of excitement and nervousness. "Mom, can we talk for a minute?"

"Of course," Taylor said, taking a seat beside her. "What's going on?"

Ophelia took a deep breath, gathering her thoughts. "I've been thinking a lot lately about what I want to do with my life.  And I know it might sound crazy, but I want to be a singer. I want to follow in your footsteps and make music that touches people's hearts."

Taylor's eyes softened as she listened to her daughter's heartfelt confession. She reached out and gently squeezed Ophelia's hand. "That doesn't sound crazy at all, Ophelia. You have an incredible talent, and I've always known you have the potential to do something special with it. But I want to make sure this is truly what you want. Being a singer is a wonderful dream, but it also comes with its own set of challenges."

Ophelia nodded, her determination unwavering. "I know, Mom. I've thought about it a lot. I know it won't be easy, but I'm willing to work hard. I want to create my own path and make a name for myself, just like you did."

Taylor smiled, feeling a rush of pride for her daughter. "I believe in you, Ophelia.  And I'll support you every step of the way. Have you thought about what name you want to use as an artist?"

Ophelia's face lit up with excitement. "Yes, I have! I want to go by Chappell Roan. It's unique and it feels like it represents a new chapter in my life. I also got the idea from drag queens, like how they have 2 different names."

"Chappell Roan," Taylor repeated, letting the name roll off her tongue. "I love it. It's beautiful and distinctive, just like you."

"But that's also not all I want to tell you." Lia Looked up in almost tears shaking.

"What do you wanna say sweetheart I'm right here." Taylor kissed her daughter's head.

"I like girls." Ophelia said and looked down in shame thinking her mom would kill her.

"Hey look at me, I don't care who you love, you could love a paper bag and I wouldn't care I just care that it's a safe relationship ok." Taylor said in a calm tone and pulled her daughter into a hug.

Over the next few weeks, Taylor and Ophelia worked together to bring her music to life. Taylor shared her experiences and wisdom, guiding her daughter through the intricacies of songwriting, recording, and performing. They spent countless hours in the studio, crafting songs that blended Ophelia's unique voice with her own style and emotions.

One evening, as they were wrapping up a particularly productive session, Taylor paused to look at her daughter. "You know, when I was your age, I had a lot of dreams and a lot of fears. But having the support of my family made all the difference. I want you to know that no matter what happens, I'm here for you. We'll face the highs and lows together."

Ophelia smiled, her heart full. "Thank you, Mom. I couldn't ask for a better mentor or a better mom. I'm so grateful for everything you've taught me and for believing in me."

As the weeks turned into months, Ophelia's music began to take shape. Her debut single called 'Pink Pony Club' a powerful anthem about finding a safe space to exist, quickly gained traction online. Fans were captivated by her raw talent and the authenticity of her lyrics. Taylor watched with pride as Ophelia, now Chappell Roan, navigated the early stages of her burgeoning career.

She was now 16 and released her first album on her 16th birthday. After she released the rest of her album called 'The Rise And Fall Of A Midwest Princess' she had gotten the opportunity of a lifetime came when Taylor approached Ophelia with an idea. "How would you feel about opening for me at the final show of the Eras Tour?" Taylor asked, her eyes twinkling with excitement.

Ophelia's jaw dropped. "Are you serious? That would be amazing! But... what if I mess up? What if they don't like me?"

Taylor placed a reassuring hand on her daughter's shoulder. "You're going to be incredible, Sweetheart . You've worked so hard, and this is the perfect way to introduce you to the world. Plus, me & Travis will be right there with you."

The weeks leading up to the final show were a whirlwind of rehearsals and preparations. Chappell spent countless hours perfecting her setlist, practicing her performance, and working with her mother on every detail. The excitement and nerves built up as the date approached, but Chappell felt ready.

Finally, the day arrived. The stadium in Vancouver was buzzing with energy, fans eagerly awaiting the grand finale of the Eras Tour. Backstage, Ophelia paced nervously, clutching her guitar.

Taylor walked up to her, wrapping her in a warm hug. "You've got this, Ophelia. Just be yourself, and they'll love you."

Chappell took a deep breath, feeling a surge of confidence. "Thanks, Mom. I'm ready."

The lights dimmed, and the crowd erupted in cheers. After the first opener had done their set it was now time for Ophelia to step onto the platform to go up.

The spotlight shifted, and Chappell walked out onto the stage, her heart pounding in her chest. She strummed the opening chords of her first song, and as her voice filled the stadium, she felt a wave of calm wash over her. The crowd's reaction was immediate and overwhelming. They cheered and sang along, their support fueling her performance.

Chappell's set was a mixture of her original songs and a heartfelt cover of one of her mother's hits. By the time she finished, the audience was on their feet, applauding and chanting her name.

The night continued with Taylor's spectacular performance, but the highlight for both mother and daughter was Chappell's debut.  After the show, as they sat together in the quiet of their dressing room, Taylor looked at Ophelia with a knowing smile.

"This is just the beginning for you, baby girl.  You have a bright future ahead, and I'm so proud of you."

Chappell leaned against her mother, feeling a sense of fulfillment and anticipation. "Thanks, Mom. I couldn't have done it without you."
