Taylor reclined on the plush sofa in the cozy living room, her hand resting protectively over her small but growing baby bump. At eight weeks pregnant with triplets, she felt a combination of excitement and exhaustion. The nausea had eased up slightly, but the fatigue was ever-present.Travis, watched her from across the room, a mischievous glint in his eyes. He had been planning this night for weeks, determined to give Taylor a break from the whirlwind of emotions and physical changes she was experiencing. Tonight was going to be special.
"Hey, babe," Travis said, walking over and kneeling in front of her. "How are you feeling?"
Taylor smiled, her blue eyes sparkling. "A little tired, but I'm good. Why do you ask?"
"I've got a surprise go upstairs and change into something casual dressy." Travis said.
Taylor seemed curious about it but went anyways as the last time she didn't listen to him she ended up pregnant.
When picking her outfit she took into consideration the cold February night air and realized why he was doing this.... It was Valentine's Day and she had completely forgotten it.
She put on a nice comfy Turtleneck sweater dress and some black booties
After she was dressed she put light makeup on with her signature red lip
When she came downstairs Travis handed her a bouquet of her favorite flowers: Orchids & Hydrangeas.
She wasn't expecting it and with that came her sitting on the stairs with the bouquet in one arm and the other covering her mouth as she said "Oh my god Travis you didn't have to."
Then.....
Travis reached into his pocket and pulled out a soft, black silk blindfold. "I have a surprise for you, but you have to trust me and put this on."
Taylor's curiosity piqued. "What are you up to, Kelce?"
He grinned. "You'll see. Just put this on, and let me take care of everything."
Taylor hesitated for a moment but then nodded. She trusted Travis completely. She allowed him to gently tie the blindfold over her eyes, plunging her into darkness.
He then took the bouquet from her arm and placed it in a vase of water very quickly.
"Okay, now stand up slowly," Travis instructed, taking her hand and helping her to her feet from where she was sitting on the stairs. "I've got you."
He led her carefully through their home, ensuring she didn't trip or stumble. Taylor could hear the faint hum of excitement in his voice, which made her heart flutter with anticipation. They reached the front door, and she felt the cold evening air brush against her skin as Travis guided her outside.
"Are you ready for this?" he asked, his voice close to her ear.
"As ready as I'll ever be," she replied, a playful tone in her voice.
They walked for a few minutes, Taylor's mind racing with possibilities of where he could be taking her. The soft crunch of gravel underfoot indicated they were outside, and she could hear the distant sounds of nature, adding to the mystery.
"Okay, we're almost there," Travis said, a hint of excitement in his voice.
Finally, they stopped. Taylor felt Travis's hands gently untie the blindfold, and she blinked as her eyes adjusted to the dim light. What she saw took her breath away.
They were standing in a secluded clearing in the woods, fairy lights strung between the trees casting a warm, enchanting glow. A small, round table was set up in the center, adorned with a crisp white tablecloth, candles, and a bouquet of fresh flowers. The soft strains of their favorite song played in the background, creating a magical atmosphere.
"Travis, this is beautiful," Taylor whispered, tears of joy forming in her eyes.
"I wanted to give you a night to remember," Travis said, pulling her into a gentle embrace. "You deserve it, especially with everything going on. I love you, Taylor."
"I love you too," she replied, her voice thick with emotion. "This is perfect."
They spent the evening dining under the stars, talking and laughing, forgetting the world for a few precious hours. Travis had prepared all of Taylor's favorite dishes, mindful of her pregnancy cravings and aversions. They reminisced about their journey together, from their first meeting to the moment they found out they were expecting triplets.
As the night drew to a close, Taylor rested her head on Travis's shoulder, feeling a sense of peace and contentment she hadn't experienced in weeks. She knew there would be challenges ahead, but with Travis by her side, she felt ready to face anything.
"Thank you for this," she said softly, closing her eyes and savoring the moment.
"Anything for you," Travis replied, kissing the top of her head. "Anything for us."
And in that magical clearing, surrounded by love and light, they knew they were ready for the adventure that lay ahead.
