Taylor sat nervously in the waiting room of the obstetrician's office, her fingers intertwined with Travis. She looked around at the other expectant couples, her heart racing with anticipation. This was their first ultrasound, and she could hardly contain her excitement—and anxiety.Travis squeezed her hand, sensing her nerves. "Hey, it's going to be great," he whispered, leaning in to kiss her temple. "We're going to see our baby today."
Taylor smiled, feeling a bit of the tension melt away. "I know. I just can't believe it's real."
Just then, a nurse called their names. They stood up, following her down a short hallway to a small, dimly lit examination room. Taylor lay down on the table, lifting her shirt to expose her belly. Travis stood by her side, his eyes never leaving her face.
The obstetrician, Dr. Collins, entered the room with a warm smile. "Good morning, Taylor and Travis. How are we feeling today?"
"Nervous, but excited," Taylor admitted.
"That's completely normal," Dr. Collins assured her. "Let's take a look at your little one."
As Dr. Collins applied the cool gel to Taylor's abdomen, she chatted with them about how they were feeling and their journey so far. Then, she placed the ultrasound wand on Taylor's belly, and the room fell silent as they all turned their attention to the screen.
At first, the screen showed a blurry, black-and-white image. Then, slowly, a tiny, fluttering heartbeat appeared. Taylor's breath caught in her throat, tears welling up in her eyes. Travis's grip on her hand tightened.
"There it is," Dr. Collins said softly. "There's your baby."
Taylor and Travis exchanged a look of pure joy. But as Dr. Collins continued to move the wand, her brow furrowed slightly. She adjusted the angle and then paused, a look of surprise crossing her face.
"Well," she said, her voice tinged with wonder, "it looks like you're not just having one baby."
Taylor's eyes widened. "What do you mean?"
Dr. Collins pointed to the screen. "See here? And here? And here?" She moved the wand slightly with each word, revealing three distinct, tiny heartbeats. "You're having triplets."
For a moment, Taylor couldn't process what she was hearing. "Triplets?" she echoed, her voice barely a whisper.
Travis looked equally stunned, his eyes wide with amazement. "We're having three babies?"
Dr. Collins nodded, a warm smile on her face. "Congratulations. You're having triplets."
Tears of joy streamed down Taylor's cheeks. She turned to Travis, who was now grinning from ear to ear. "Three babies, Tay," he said, his voice full of wonder. "We're going to have three babies."
Taylor laughed through her tears, overwhelmed by the news. "I can't believe it. This is incredible."
Dr. Collins printed out several ultrasound images and handed them to Taylor and Travis. "I'll give you two a moment," she said kindly before leaving the room.
As soon as the door closed, Travis leaned down and kissed Taylor, his eyes shining with happiness. "I love you so much," he whispered against her lips. "And I already love our three little ones."
"I love you too," Taylor replied, resting her hand on her belly. "And I can't wait to meet them."
They left the doctor's office in a daze, holding hands and clutching the ultrasound pictures. The world outside seemed brighter, the air filled with possibilities. As they walked to their car, Taylor glanced up at Travis, feeling more connected to him than ever before.
"Our lives are about to get a lot more interesting," she said with a laugh.
Travis chuckled, pulling her close. "And I wouldn't have it any other way."

Once they got home they found Ophelia doing school work online."How was it mom?" She asked
"Well apparently we're having triplets. Taylor said with a bit of shock still in her.
"Triplets....????????" Ophelia almost passed out.
"That means I'll have 3 siblings OMGGGGGG" She was definitely excited.
That evening, Taylor and Travis
Later, as they lay in bed, Taylor snuggled up against Travis, resting her head on his chest. "Today was perfect," she murmured.Travis kissed the top of her head, his hand gently rubbing her belly. "It really was. I can't wait to see what the future holds for us and our three little ones."
Taylor smiled, feeling the warmth of his love surround her. "Me neither. We're going to be amazing parents to 4 kids, Travis."
"And we'll have an amazing family," he replied, his voice full of promise.
"Hey Travis can we keep having triplets a surprise until from the rest of the family until they're born I mean they know we're expecting but I wanna surprise them?" Taylor asked.
"Sure I think they'll pass out though from being in shock but yeah I like that idea we'll just have to tell Ophelia so she knows to keep it a surprise."
Taylor nodded in agreement.
As they drifted off to sleep, Taylor knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, they would face them together, with love and unwavering support. Their journey was just beginning, and she couldn't wait to see where it would take them.
