Y/n walked outside, exploring the first floor until she came across the control room. Inside, she found Eun Hyuk sitting there, testing the microphone. Sensing someone's presence, he turned around and saw her standing there.

He straightened up and asked, "We've met before, right?" He reminded her of the time she bumped into him and made his book fall, but she hadn't apologized before leaving abruptly.

Y/n stood straight and bowed slightly, apologizing, "I'm sorry for running away without apologizing or helping you."

"It's okay," he replied , "Thank you for being with my sister."

Upon hearing this, Y/n suddenly remembered something important. "It wasn't me who saved her," she blurted out, "It was the guy who came with us. I'm sorry, I have to go somewhere."

With that, she dashed off, leaving him standing there, watching her disappear into the corridors.

Y/n POV

Coming to where everyone was, I saw the store owner and a guy named Byeom Il talking about something, looking inside the room where Sang Wook was tied unconscious. Scared for Sang Wook, even though I knew he could save himself, I entered the room after they had gone somewhere. Turning around, I nearly screamed, scared by the sight of the man's dead body who was sucked dead by the vampire monster. Calming my beating heart, I slowly went toward tied Sang Wook and knelt beside him, trying to bring him to consciousness.

"Hey... Sang Wook-shi.... wake up," after several attempts, he slowly opened his eyes. I sighed in relief and told him about someone coming to hurt him and that I had come to free him. He looked at me as I told him about everyone's plan when suddenly I heard someone opening the door. Flinching slightly, Sang Wook and I looked toward the door and then at each other. He gestured for me to hide somewhere. "Go," his silent voice told me as I silently went toward a dark corner to hide.

Watching the scene unfold in front of me, where Sang Wook headbutted the store owner and made him unconscious, I came out of my corner and opened Sang Wook's hand. We went outside where no one was. He started going towards the staircase when I stopped him.

"It's dangerous out there. Why not stay here?" I suggested softly. He paused, meeting my gaze.

"I have something to do. You stay, you'll be safe here," he assured me quietly before disappearing upstairs. I stood there, understanding his purpose.

Going inside I got near the security's office and heard someone cussing " You piece of shits" she spoke about them not listening to her when she was begging to them and now they came to ask for her help.

"Your daughter might need help too," Yi Kyung's voice responded calmly, causing the woman to fall silent, her eyes brimming with tears before she turned and stormed off, shouting, "Do whatever you want."

As they all fell silent and turned to notice me, I felt a wave of discomfort wash over me. I glanced awkwardly at everyone and murmured a soft "hi," unsure of how to handle the sudden attention. A few nodded in acknowledgment before falling silent once more.

The afternoon wore on quietly, and then abruptly, the store owner burst into the daycare, his voice echoing with anger, "Where is that bastard? He did this to me, that piece of shit!" I sighed inwardly, exhausted by his volatile behavior. Closing my eyes, I longed for a moment of peace and quiet.

.................................

It was evening when I stirred awake, finding everyone either asleep or sitting silently. As I scanned the room, Mrs. An caught my attention as she approached the daycare, her husband abruptly rising to his feet. My eyes widened, and I quickly stood, rushing towards them to prevent any altercation.

"Who the fuck do you think you are?" he shouted at me, drawing the attention of everyone in the room. Despite feeling uneasy under their stares, I responded calmly in a neutral tone, meeting his gaze squarely. "I'm hungry, and I want my stuff back. So, I would like to borrow her for a minute. Thank you."

Without waiting for his response, I turned and gently took Mrs. An's hand, guiding her with me into the store. I was unaware of the prideful glances directed at me from behind.

Looking at Y/n as she entered the convenience store, Eun Hyuk glanced down with a calm expression and quietly entered the control room.

As I stepped into the store, I gently released Mrs. An's hand and took a few deep breaths, unaware that her husband had also entered. "Leave with your stuff as soon as you can," he said abruptly. Frustrated, I closed my eyes momentarily before turning back to face him.

"Don't forget you took extra money from me for storage of all the stuff, so I don't think you can push me out," I retorted calmly. He looked as though he might explode. "How dare you talk back to an elder like that?" he bellowed, lifting his torch as if to strike me. Suddenly, Yi Kyung emerged from behind a shelf and locked eyes with him. He froze, lowering his hands.

Yi Kyung's gaze shifted to me, her expression softening ever so slightly. Eun Hyuk appeared from behind us, glancing between Yi Kyung and me, before informing us that only our building was experiencing blackouts and he needed to go to the electrical room.

Yi Kyung told him she would go, then began filling her bags with energy bars and drinks. The store owner, seemingly ignored by everyone, eventually moved away, possibly exhausted from shouting. Mrs. An also left, presumably to rest. He wouldn't dare harm her with so many people around.

Looking ahead, I noticed both Yi Kyung and Eun Hyuk gazing at me. Startled, I looked away, and silence fell. Realizing I hadn't introduced myself yet, I spoke softly, "Sorry for the late introduction. I'm Y/n."

Glancing at Yi Kyung, I added, "Umm... take care. You don't know what might appear there." I handed her a pocket knife from my pants pocket. "Take it, just in case." I knew she could take care of herself, but it seemed prudent.

"Thanks," she said softly, not questioning why I had a knife. Taking the knife from my hand and inspecting it briefly before turning to leave. As she departed, I found myself alone with Eun Hyuk. He had such a serious personality that I was scared to say anything; I didn't think I was qualified to even look at him.

"You should rest." Startled by his sudden voice, I looked at him. He was looking at me with a small smile. I suddenly realized he was also just a simple student who had gotten trapped here and had taken on the role of managing everything, despite being the youngest.

He looked so tired, but he couldn't show it to anyone. Giving him a soft smile, I spoke, "You too, you must be tired."

"I have to monitor something, so I'll go back. You take rest." Seeing that he wouldn't rest until his work was done, he wouldn't budge. So, I went back to stay and rest.

3rd POV:

Watching her retreat, Eun Hyuk returned to his work, probably trying to suppress his pounding heart that wished to burst out of his chest whenever he was near her.
