Coming out from the basement, Yi-kyung went straight to Eun-hyuk and punched him in the guts. "You knew," she said, and then went away. I picked up the pair of clothes I had chosen and followed her, giving a worried glance to Eun-hyuk.

She came out of the bathroom, and I handed her the clothes, blushing slightly at her muscular form. After she came out fully dressed, I offered to help put medicine on her wounds, to which she silently agreed.
Sitting down, I felt the need to apologize too, but didn't know how. "What's wrong?" She lifted my face by the chin and looked into my eyes. Breaking the eye contact, I apologized to her.
"I'm sorry," she looked confused. "For what?" I didn't know how to tell her that I also knew there was a monster in there. "I felt something was wrong too, but I didn't tell you. Sorry." Her lips curled into a beautiful smile as she looked at me with those soft eyes of hers.
"It's okay. It's not your fault. I'm fine now. Let's forget about it." I looked down with a small smile. "Thank you... Thank you for staying alive."
Her smile dimmed as she saw my injured hand. "How did this happen?"
"Nothing, just a gift of my bravery," I looked at my injured hand and then at her with a bigger smile. "And you know what, we have a new survivor."
"How innocent," Yi-kyung said something I didn't catch but decided to leave the topic as a loud scream was heard outside.
We went outside to the door near the staircase. As we opened it, we saw a scared Eun-yu and an unconscious Hyun-su with a lot of blood around him.
Hyun-su woke up three hours after the fall, with everyone gathered here to vote on whether he was infected and could turn into a monster at any time. As usual, the annoying voice of the storeowner was eating at my brain as he spouted his illogical arguments and scared the people here.
I stood behind with Hyun-su and the others as Eun-hyuk explained that everyone had to vote with "yes" or "no" on whether he should live. Again, that annoying man spoke in his unpleasant voice, "He'll obviously get kicked out, why bother? I want him out." He raised his hands and threatened his wife as she also raised hers. "I don't," Eun-yu went towards him, and he told her she was not of the age to vote. What she did made me struggle to control my laughter, but I couldn't help but smile.
Eun-hyuk continued, "This is to protect everyone's privacy because ousting him would be taking part in murder." Everyone fell silent. In the corner, I tried to make Hyun-su comfortable. "It's okay, no one will be able to throw you out. Trust me." I looked at him with a smile to ease his nerves.
3rd POV
As Y/n looked at him with a smile, Hyun-su felt his cheeks warm up at the protective feeling he got from her. From the corner of the room, some gazes went toward them, noticing the person who had bestowed her precious smile upon Hyun-su.
