"finally! i thought you forgot about me or something." franco says, hugging me.
"i couldn't forget my favourite spaniard." i joke, which i get a dirty look from franco.
"im joking, im joking. how are you feeling for the last race?"
"cant wait for it, but i dont want the season to end you know? i dont want to wait for next season." he says.
"what can i say, i make everything better." i say, laughing.
"yeah, im gonna miss racing against you."
"we've had good fights! i mean, good for me. they usually end in you losing a position." i say.
"not always, i overtook you in miami." he says, and i couldn't help but laugh at his fake seriousness.
"well, i guess your gonna have to get into f1 to overtake me." i say.
"don't worry, i plan on getting there."
"i hope you do franco, truly."
"thank you angel, so how's it going with ollie?"
"really good. i realise how shit nick was."
"you should have realised that months ago angel." he says.
"yeah, but now i have ollie. he's the best boyfriend i could ever have."
"you make me feel so single."
we talk for a few more minutes, before it was almost time for the race and i head back to prema so franco could get ready to race.
"how are you feeling?" i ask ollie whilst sat on a table in his driver room.
"i'm gonna miss racing in f2." he replies.
"i know, i miss it. but, all of us racing in formula 1 together is a dream come true."
"i can't wait to race against you again."
"i just can't wait to race again." i say as there is a knock on the door, ollie's engineer telling him he needed to go to the car now.
"your watching here right?" he asks whilst picking up his helmet.
"of course baby." i say, smiling at him.
"and find me after the race?"
"always."
i kiss ollie on the cheek before saying goodbye and making my way to the prema pit wall, where i had been invited to watch from. there was not a single face in prema that wasn't smiling. they had won the constructors championship, they had won the driver championship, and were hoping to end the season with a win.
i'm happy for ollie of course, but u feel bad for my team. it should be us not them. oh god, that sounds terrible. if only i hadn't crashed.
i try to push the thoughts away, to enjoy the last race.
the cars head out into the pit lane, the race would begin in 20 minutes. those 20 minutes breeze by, i wasn't thinking, i wasn't paying attention to anything around me, i only realise what was happening when the lights begin to start the race.
1 light
2 lights
3 lights
4 lights
5 lights
lights out.."it's lights out and away we go for the final formula 2. bearman gets away well, so does antonelli who takes the lead of the race!"
of course i was happy for kimi, but i felt a little bad for ollie who dropped back to p4 whilst kimi kept the lead with a 1.295 second gap.
by the final lap, it was a prema 1-2. kimi p1, and then ollie. and i couldn't have been more happy for them.
"kimi antonelli wins his last ever f2 race... but coming up behind him crossing the finish line is our championship winner oliver bearman! what a season he has had!"
"thank you so much everyone, best way to end the season!" kimi says down the team radio.
"it's been a bloody amazing season kimi." rene says.
"thank you for everything this season rene, wouldn't have gotten to formula 1 without prema." ollie says down the team radio as i take my headphones off and go meet the two.
