"that was a fucking good lap." i say in relief as i finish my last lap of qualifying.

"fucking good indeed, provisional pole angel." jules replies.

"come on, please please please." i whisper to myself.

"well? do we know yet?" i ask nervously.

"just a little longer angel." jules replies.

"angel, it's p1, pole position."

"yes! oh thank god." i say, letting out a breath of relief.

"that was an incredible lap, 4 tenths faster then everyone else."

"yes guys, we did it!" i say. i have never been happier for a pole in my life.

i stop the car in the pit lane, which was also outside of aston martin. i get out of the car, smiling under my helmet. i could hear some of the aston martin mechanics congratulating me.

i wanted to find ollie and kimi. but i didn't need to find them, they were already coming over to me. i hug them both at the same time.

"you did it lina." kimi says.

"i did it." i reply.

"it was amazing ang." ollie says.

"oh and congrats lina."

"on what?" i say confused as we let go of the hug.

"you know." he says, pointing at me and ollie.

"how did you find out?"

"ollie is very easy to read."

"he really is." i reply laughing.

after qualifying was finished, (ollie p2, kimi p4) i was at the track for a few more hours before i met up with kimi and ollie to go back to the hotel. once again, they had chosen my room to spend their time in instead of theirs. i'm not complaining though.

"i hate school." i complain for the 10th time whilst trying to do math work.

"should have just dropped out like me." kimi says, and i throw a pillow at his head.

"maybe i can help." ollie says, taking the computer.

"i have one more week left and i've already done the exams, but i have a shit ton to catch up with." i say, hanging my head back.

"done." ollie says a minute later, handing me the computer back.

"what!" i say, completely shocked.

"i finished school like a year ago." ollie says.

"i know, but how? this is more confusing than kimi explaining something." i say, kimi giving me the middle finger and i playfully roll my eyes.

"it's done now though."

"yeah, thank you." i say, smiling before yawning.

"do you want to go to sleep?" ollie asks and i shake my head.

"i'm fine." i say. i was very tired.

"mama is calling." kimi says, before leaving the room to answer the call.

"well done today ollie." i say, lying down on my bed beside where ollie was sitting.

"thanks, but you were off the rails today. it was an amazing lap. a new record."

"it felt amazing, i just knew i would do it. now i just have to win." i say confidently.

"where are you aiming for tomorrow?"

"p5 definitely, and i think kimi will get top 3."

"yeah. do you think he's gonna get signed by mercedes?"

"definitely, they love him. and what about you with haas? do you want to go?"

"yeah i would love any seat in f1, but i dont know if they want me."

"they would be crazy to not want you." i say.

"really?"

"yeah! your far better then kevin magnussen or nico hulkenberg."

"how is it going at aston martin."

"it's a big team, i honestly don't know."

"i mean, if they are smart they would want you."

"it's different for me, i would be the first female in f1 in years."

"that's what makes you so much better then me and kimi or any other f2 drivers. i mean, im sure many people tell you to quit because your a girl."

"lots of people."

"well, never listen to them. listen to me."

"and what do you say?"

"that your one of the best drivers on the grid."

"one of?"

"well, joint with me of course." ollie jokes.

"of course, so humble." i say, messing up his hair.

"oi! it was perfect." he says, trying to fix it.

"it's better messy." i say, playing with his free hand and he immediately stops trying to sort it and messes it again.

"like this?"

"perfect." i say as kimi walks back into the room.

"mama says to look at your phone and that we are going out tomorrow night." kimi says, sitting down.

"where's my phone?" i say, looking around for it.

"here." kimi says, handing me my phone as i thank him.

i reply to messages from my parents, congratulating me on getting pole position before turning it off once again and throwing it at the bottom of the bed.

"when is your graduation?" kimi asks.

"12 july i think." i reply.

"ang that's next week." ollie says.

"shit, no it's not?" i say.

"yeah, a week today ." kimi says.

"i don't have anything to wear!" i say.

"it's fine, you can go shopping to get one before then." kimi says.

"i don't fly back until thursday, im at aston martin tuesday and wednesday."

"you still have monday." ollie says calmly.

"i don't know anywhere around here! this is a disaster." i complain.

"ill sort it for you okay? i'll find somewhere for you to go on monday." ollie says, comforting me.

"thank you, so much." i say, hugging him.

"no problem ang." ollie replies, once j let go of the hug.

"lina you should go to sleep, we all should." kimi says.

"yeah, i guess so." i say, looking at my clock and it was 10:30.

i say goodbye to kimi and ollie who both leave my room. 10 minutes later, i was fast asleep.
