....

Wen Qingyi and Jiang Yueli were paired up as roomates on the random draw three weeks ago when they arrived in Gusu for the first time. The two girls didn't speak much, though they didn't hold any animosity, they had no opinion whatsoever toward each other.

Yueli often spent time trying to talk to Nie Yifeng whenever they weren't in class, she truly wanted to speak to Yuèrú, but just like everyone else, she ws scared of aproaching the other girl. Qingyi, on the other hand, was overly focused on studying - waking early and sleeping late - she followed most of the Lan sect's rules, making her part of the very few guests who do.

The two had gone to take their request from Hanguang-Jun the day the nighthunts were announced, they had spoken to each other more in the past weekend than they did since their arrival for the indocrination, discussing a plan and how to handle the mission.

Their request was from the head of a small village in the Caiyi country, the town was nameless and had mostly an ageing population. All the people there were farmers, and their farms had been recently attacked by wolfs, destroying their crops and killing their life stock - or so they'd assumed at first.

This wolf didn't make any appearance during daytime nor did they ever leave any trails of their presence there the next day aside from the blood baths of the sheep and pigs followed with the teeth marks. Even some shepard dogs had been killed in the past few weeks.

The CaiyiWu sect's diciples had been sent to Gusu aswell and many were all over the place as well right now in this random missions. The Sect leader of the Wu sect and many other smaller sects had sent minor cases to the Gusu Lan sect for them to use in this nighthunts with teaching objectives - including the case of this ageing town's livestock being destroyed.

The two girls had studied the case, they decided to go to the Wu Sect first as they had been given two letters, one from the Wu sect, and the request from the head of the village.

Caiyi was at the south-most part of Gusu, with clear rivers and a warmer weather. Warm compared to the higher lands of course, with the country being nw of the rare one that were fully on flat Lan in Gusu, most travellers arrived at the port here as the river connects to the Baling* Lake. The place was filled with life and vibrancy, something unlike what was there in the cloud recesses.

Having finally arrived at the Wu sect's residence after wondering around and taking in the new scenery, they were greeted by a guard of the Wu sect and shown to their rooms, "You can stay here for the running of your mission, the sect leader also requested your presence for dinner tonight" the guard gave the two a respecful bow before leaving them to their own devices.

"Okay, let's go through the facts before meeting with sect leader Wu" Qjngyi started before she even settled down. Yueli put her bags down on her bed before turning to the younger girl, sitting down next her bag. She rested her arm on the same, resting her head lazely on it.

Qingyi stood across the room with her arms crossed over her chest, facing the older girl, observing her actions with a serious expression the whole time.

"The head of the Village said in his letter that this started 4 weeks ago, and that most farmers have taken to fencing their live stock and fields, but even then the 'wolf' would still get to them, without breaking the fences. He also suspects there to be more than one of this yao. Your input?" Qingyi briefed and finished with a question, sitting down herself, her white robes flowing with her every movement, the large red flames on it matching her perfectly as she crossed her legs under them.
