After a small nod from the young master, he saw Madam Yu smile, before speaking, "I am glad my children left an impression on you" she commented and the young sect hier gave her his best smile.
Truth was he remembered the Jiang hier because he got touchy with his a'ying as well, he barely remembered the mistress of the clan, but remembered having to keep her company as instructed by Jin Hao instead of staying close to a'ying.
"Sect leader Jiang and Madam Yu came here today all the way from Yunmeng to suggest a bethrotal" his mother spoke stroking his hair endearingly.
His heart sank.
"A'han..." Madam Jin called but the boy just looked down, his mother sighed removing her hand.
"A'han, this is a good thing for our clan, and maiden Jiang is lovely, you said you remember Yanli, right?" His mother coaxed and he shoot back up with pure panic in his eyes, the three woman got startled watching the outburts of the child that now stood.
"You want to bethrot me to Jiang Yanli!?" The boy yelled so loud everyone in the pavilion and its vicinities could hear him clearly.
His mother sighed rolling her eyes, "Not want, have. Behave yourself young man" she spoke and he glared at her, she glared back.
The first young master of the Jin clan was known for being pompous and entitled, but calm and an exemplary in terms of behaviour, mastering 4 of the six arts* at the young age of 10.
The boy wanted to argue with his mother, but the guests presence prompted him to mantain his reputation.
So he sat back down, glaring at the fists that tightly sat at his lap. He could feel his nails pierce into his skin but remained in the same way.
Suddenly, Sect Leader Jiang spoke for the first time the whole conversation. "If young master Jin doesn't want this, there is no reason to force it either." She spoke serenely, yet clearly, her voice was soft spoken and mirrored her soft features. The young boy immediately faced the lady opposite him, who smiled at him - he smiled back, having found an ally in this battle.
He turned to his mom, who shared a look with Madam Yu, he's spirits were sucked out as quickly as they were brought out.
"What can chilren decide?" The purple clad Jiang Lady spoke with a displeased frown.
His mother wore a similar expression as she spoke, "a'han, arranged marriages are normal, you'll get to fall in love with young mistress Jiang in the future" she spoke adoringly and her voice was that of comfort, but as her eldest som looked at her face he could tell she scolded him silently, 'ruin this and I'll punish you' he could almost hear her say.
Jin Han wanted to scream.
So for the rest of the two sect ladies conversatin he just sat there silently.
Eventually time came where they were to leave, his mother dragging him by the arms all the way to the main stairs of carp tower. Before even dragging him down to bid their guests goodbye. The whole time the boy was silent.
"A'han, that was disrespectful. Do you think your father would be proud of your behaviour?" The woman spoke still dragging the silent child along, knowing how much the younger looked up to the man, but he was still unresponsive.
"Was maiden Jiang really that distasteful? A'hao only had good things to say of her, and your sister loved her" the madam commented and the boy rolled his eyes grumbling.
"I am not A'hao.." he mumbled to himself, "speak clearly" his mother scolded.
So he yelled, "Why not bethrot her to A'hao then!?" The Jin hier yelled and just as he did they were walking into their family dining room - the rest of the family already inside, pausing at his outburst.
