SUN SHINING DOWN ON HIS eyes caused Sirius to stir awake with a groan. They had fallen asleep at Dianna's last night.

The light breathing on his neck causes Sirius's Gaze to fall upon Remus, whose chin rests on his shoulder, his face tucked into the crook of Sirius's neck.

They are lying horizontally on the sofa they had been enjoying their tea on yesterday afternoon.

Sirius is careful not to wake the sleeping boy at his side as he stretches and looks over the coffee table for the curly-haired girl.

She's not there.

Sirius frowns. She must have gone up to her room once the boys passed out.

Carefully, Sirius slips his body out of Remus's clinging grasp before replacing where his body once lay with a pillow he found on a seat nearby.

Remus hugs the pillow closer, pressing his face down into it with a relaxed sigh.

Where is Dianna? In her room? Where is her room? Should Sirius go search for her room? No. That's just creepy. He doesn't want to scare her off. Should he wait for her here? No? No.

Maybe not.

Yes.

Wait. What the fuck. She just left them down here. Of course, he should go look for her.

Eeesh, but social anxiety...

Fuck it. He is Sirius mother fucking Black. Finding a girl's bedroom and finding a way for it not to come off as awkward should be no problem.

Actually, now that he thinks about it, that could be very much the opposite of awkward.

No.

No!

Fucking hell, Sirius. Don't mess this up!

She doesn't deserve that.

Sirius hadn't noticed that his feet had led him to the bottom of the staircase leading to the second floor.

He makes his way up, seeing three halls and another staircase that goes up to the third floor.

Merlin, how many floors does this manor have?

Okay. A large four-floor mansion which Sirius had never stepped foot in until yesterday. He could easily get lost and be accused of snooping.

Maybe he should go back downstairs and keep Remus company until Dianna joins them.

"I know he is, Char," A soft feminine voice says from down the hall straight ahead.

Dianna's voice brings a smirk to Sirius's face. Now, no longer feeling any worry about being lost, Sirius struts closer to the sound of her voice with his usual confidence.

Down the corridor straight ahead, Sirius finds himself standing outside a closed door. He knocks three times before stepping back a little.

The door swings open to reveal a smiling Dianna holding a muggle telephone to her ear, standing in a satin cream-coloured nightgown and robe set.

The sight only made Sirius's smirk grow.

Dianna silently waved him in as she walked to sit on her bed. "Yes," she replies to a question supposedly her friend had asked her. "Charlotte! No! I haven't spoken to him in days."

Sirius pretends not to be listening to this conversation despite it suddenly piquing his interest at the word 'him'. He 'examines' the her room.

"Yes, days," she repeats. "Should we talk about your life, then?" She raises an eyebrow knowingly. "Ah, I see. So your letter from days ago was...," her words trailed off as her friend interrupted her.
