As the dust settled on the battlefield of Kurukshetra, Gandhari's grief and anger boiled over, and she turned her attention to Draupadi, her voice filled with bitterness. "Draupadi, you will witness the death of your children just as I have witnessed the death of mine. May the pain of loss haunt you as it has haunted me," she cursed, her eyes blazing with fury.Draupadi, though taken aback by the curse, remained composed and replied, "I understand your pain,Mata Gandhari, but I cannot bear the burden of your curse. I will face whatever comes with strength and grace."
Gandhari then turned her gaze towards Krishna, her words laced with venom. "Krishna, you who claim to be the protector of dharma, your own kins will turn against each other and bring about your downfall. Your beloved Dwarka will drown in water, a fitting end to your arrogance," she declared, her voice ringing with conviction.
Krishna, unfazed by the curse, looked at Gandhari with a calm smile and said, "My dear Mata Gandhari, I accept your curse with humility. I know that all actions have consequences, and I will face them with grace and acceptance."
But Gandhari was not finished. Her gaze fell upon Arjuna, and her voice grew cold and sharp. "Arjuna, you who are known for your prowess in battle, I curse you to forget all your powers when you need them the most. May you be left helpless and defeated in your hour of need," she proclaimed, her words cutting through the air like a knife.
Arjuna, stunned by the curse, felt a chill run down his spine. But he gathered his composure and replied, "Mata Gandhari, I may forget my powers, but I will never forget my duty. I will face any challenge that comes my way with courage and determination."
As the curses settled upon them, the air grew heavy with tension. But amidst the turmoil, a voice of reason spoke out. It was Dhritrashtra, the blind old king, who approached Gandhari with a gentle smile.
"My dear Gandhari, in your grief and anger, you have spoken words that will bring only pain and suffering. Let us instead focus on forgiveness and understanding, for only through compassion can we find peace and redemption," Dhritrashtra said, his words filled with wisdom.
Gandhari, heeded Dhritrashtra's words and turned her gaze towards Kunti, who stood with a solemn expression on her face. Kunti approached Gandhari and spoke softly but firmly, "Gandhari, I implore you to reconsider your curse on Krishna, for he is none other than Narayan himself. And Arjuna, who you have cursed to forget his powers, is Nar incarnate. And Draupadi, who you have cursed as well, is none other than Sachi, the consort of Lord Indra."
Gandhari's eyes widened in realization, and a sense of deep regret washed over her. She fell to her knees, tears streaming down her face, as she lamented her words and the pain she had caused. "Forgive me, forgive me for my folly and anger. I have acted in haste and ignorance, and I beg for your forgiveness," she cried.
Kunti extended a hand towards Gandhari, offering her support and understanding. "Didi Gandhari, we are all bound by our emotions and our suffering. Let us move forward with compassion and forgiveness in our hearts, so that we may find peace and redemption," Kunti said, her voice filled with empathy.
Dhritarashtra, who had been silently observing the exchange between Kunti and Gandhari, spoke up with a heavy heart. "My dear wife and Kunti, it is clear that our family has been torn apart by war and strife. Perhaps it is time for us to seek solace and peace away from the world. Let us retire to the forest, where we can contemplate and reflect on our actions and find a path towards redemption."
Kunti and Gandhari, still reeling from the events that had transpired, nodded in agreement. They understood the wisdom in Dhritarashtra's words and saw the forest as a place of healing and reflection.
And so, the three of them, along with Vidura and Sanjaya, made their way to the forest, leaving behind the palace and the memories of the past. In the quiet serenity of the forest, they found solace and began the journey towards inner peace and reconciliation.
As they walked hand in hand, united in their quest for redemption, they knew that only by facing their past and embracing forgiveness could they truly find the peace they sought. And so, they continued on their journey, guided by the light of wisdom and compassion, ready to begin anew in the embrace.
