AMYRA

Amyra and Jamal's jaws hit the floor when they reached the train station. Amyra did hear that Acadris' main train station had unique architecture, but she wasn't expecting this.

The train station was like a part of a mansion, with an aquamarine colored roof, standing proud and tall about eight hundred meters from the ground. A spiral pathway wrapped around its rectangular base like an ivy led to the entrance of the station, the latter decorated with fountains and plants which imitated a mansion's backyard.

Though, the station itself was not the only thing that left the duo speechless. The train tracks that led the train to and away from the station, stood on bridges supported by tall, arched pillars. The rational part of Amyra's mind explained the reason behind such unique structure, and it was a valid reason too; the tracks connected all the kingdoms through the land and sea so the students of Starborn university can travel with ease.

Amyra could see the sea beneath them through the spaces between the clouds, and the scene filled her excitement, with a sense of adventure for which she yearned, something she wouldn't have gotten if she was still back in Vector town.

"It's—"

"—beautiful," Jamal finished Amyra's sentence in the same awestruck tone. A small smirk formed on Amyra's lips as she thought about the 5 hour ride to the station, guess it was worth it after all.

Excitement, similar to a child's before they received their present, sparkled in Jamal's eyes too, his mouth slightly opened in wonder as he gazed at the scene below, it made Amyra's heart leap. Amyra slid her hand into his, interlocking their hands as they waited for the train.

"We will be taking her from this point onwards, sir," a guard said, handcuffing Amyra.

"E-excuse me? You can't do that to her! She is following the king's orders, isn't she?" Jamal looked so enraged that even the guard shrunk a little in his boots.

"S-she is dangerous! S-she attacked a s-school boy!" The guard stammered as Jamal glowered at him.

Amyra had to step in to stop Jamal from advancing towards the guard, and took her more time to convince Jamal that she would be alright and he doesn't have to worry about her.

"Stay safe," Jamal said when the train's wheels turned and its chimney whistled, informing everyone that it was leaving. "I promise to write to you everyday." He added as the train sped up, his hand barely touching hers until he started falling behind and the small warmth that Amyra had was quickly replaced with the cold wind slamming against her body as the train left the station, Jamal just a small dot among the crowd.

"Come on," the guard said tiredly, turning on his heels as he led the healer to her compartment where two other students were already seated. One of the girls' wore a ponytail and purple glasses, her green sweater blending in with the seat's color, while the other, probably the tallest person Amyra ever saw, wore black rectangular glasses, her hair in box braids. She had a comfortable looking brown sweats on, the colour reminding Amyra of coffee.
