EEVEE
"Woah! Look at that tree!"
"Eevee, it's literally just a tree! It's no different from all the other ones you've pointed out since we've gotten here."
Eevee wrinkled her nose as she turned to Lucinda, who chuckled in amusement and disbelief.
"W-Well, this particular tree is um, let's say, a little BLUE?" Eevee huffed, pointing back to the tree, which was indeed blue in color, with the leaves being quite an unusual shade of aquamarine, while Lucinda shrugged and went ahead to talk to Finn.
"Man, I wanna be there for your first walk around campus if that's your reaction to blue trees." Domiel chuckled.
"Gosh, I just can't wait!" Eevee gasped. She found herself surprisingly excited for what lay ahead of her journey, especially considering that she was fully against coming here in the first place. All in all, the magical world wasn't as scary as she had thought it would be.
"Hey, how come we're not allowed in the magical forests, but then... We're not?" She asked, tucking a stray lock of hair behind her ear.
"Well, I guess it's because we're being watched over by the many guards that have been stationed on the path literally every five minutes apart from each other" Mira answered, rolling her eyes as she pointed to a guard who stood at the side of the pathway as they approached.
"Hmm..." Eevee nodded, politely waving at the guard — just as she had done to all the others, who all gave her the indifferent reaction of visible ignorance.
"Hey guys, check this out, these pamphlets that the guard gave us!" Domiel quickly said as she and Mira had theirs opened up in front of them. "Each one is specific to each one of us!"
"Huh? Seriously?" Serephina pulled hers out of her back pocket and opened it up, while Eevee peeked over her shoulder to take a look. It was true, the guides seemed to have been tailored specifically for each student. Serephina's even included guides and information about the sports teams and events, emphasizing on Hockey.
"Woah! How?!" Eevee's eyes widened in shock, and she immediately pulled out hers. The cover consisted of an image of an air view shot of a castle that stood tall and proud, its white marble façade gleaming in the sunlight. It seemed to glow with an otherworldly radiance, casting rainbow-colored halos that danced and shimmered around its towering spires.
She flipped it open, gawking at the pictures that were inside. It wasn't the pictures themselves — captures of beautiful architectural features, bodies of artificial streams and waters shimmering in the sunlight, classes and fields of beauty — but moreso, she was unable to believe that it was all real.
She felt a bit of sadness rise within her as she flipped through the pages, realizing that she was kept from this wonderful reality for so long. She wondered why both Mr. and Mrs. Hale were so keen on keeping her in the village- Was it because they were afraid that with newfound independence, Eevee would stray away from her servitude to them.
