AMYRA

"Stupid," Amyra mumbled to herself. "Late on the first day! As if the first meeting with the director wasn't scary enough."

The curly haired woman was so immersed in her thoughts, that she failed to notice the shadow and light clicks of heels that followed her, that was until a familiar voice spoke right beside her ear, "Is mumbling to yourself a new hobby of yours?"

Amyra spun around in alarm, her curly hair narrowly missing hitting Anabelle in the face. But the healer relaxed as a pair of soft, unmatched blue and green eyes came into her view.

"Anabelle," Amyra threw her arms around the brunette as if they hadn't seen each other for years, even though they had last seen each other a few hours ago.

"I missed you too," Anabelle replied with a chuckle as she reciprocated the hug, bending down a little so Amyra wouldn't have to stand on her tiptoes to reach her height.

"Amyra!" Leyli's sweet voice jingled in Amyra's ears followed by another pair of arms being wrapped around her from the back, and thus a single hug turned into a group embrace of three new companions.

Though Amyra felt as if they were missing someone in the group hug. Her eyes darted towards the tall, graceful figure standing beside the three embracing women, gazing at the three with a soft smile.

Everything about Tabitha was proof of her grace, her nobility—from the way she greeted to the way she stood. Even the simple school uniform looked nothing short of an expensive gown when Tabitha wore it.

The healer extended her palm towards the noble, hoping to trap her into the group hug as well, but Tabitha shook her head softly. "I am not a fan of hugs," she said, but her protests were of no avail because a second later, she was too melting into the warmth of the embrace.

"Alright guys, we should get going if we don't want to get late," Leyli said, breaking out of the hug and turning towards the main hallway. "I have heard that the director is really strict, and he hates it when students are late."

Well, that was going to be a problem for Amyra because she was anything but an early person. However, Amyra's worries dissipated as soon as Leyli's warm hand circled her wrist, tugging the shorter girl towards the entrance of the building. At that moment she knew that with her friends, she would probably be fine.

Lively chatters greeted the group of four as they stepped onto the grounds where the orientation was going to take place. Rows and rows of students in pristine uniforms sat on the grassy grounds, eyes bright with excitement and anticipation. Amyra swore that she could smell curry and ramen, and other delicacies, even though there was not even a glass of water, let alone food, in sight.
