Y/N’s first day at Woodsboro High dawned bright and early. Nervous energy buzzed through her as she got dressed in her chosen outfit: a pair of high-waisted jeans, a simple white T-shirt, and her trusty black sneakers. She double-checked her backpack, making sure she had everything she needed, then headed downstairs for a quick breakfast with her family.
"Good luck today, honey," Ava said, giving her an encouraging smile. "You’ll do great."
"Thanks, Mom," Y/N replied, feeling a bit more confident.
Josh dropped her off at the school entrance. "Have a good day, Y/N. We’re proud of you."
Taking a deep breath, Y/N stepped out of the car and walked towards the main building. The school was already bustling with students, and she felt a mix of excitement and nerves. As she made her way to the office to pick up her schedule, she couldn’t help but feel like all eyes were on her.
Inside the office, the secretary handed her a schedule and a map of the school. "Welcome to Woodsboro High," she said kindly. "If you need any help finding your classes, just ask."
"Thank you," Y/N said, clutching the papers tightly.
Her first class was English, and as she navigated the crowded hallways, she suddenly bumped into someone, nearly dropping her schedule.
"Whoa, sorry about that," said a tall guy with a mischievous grin. "You must be the new girl."
"Yeah, that’s me," Y/N said, smiling nervously. "I’m Y/N."
"I’m Stu," he said, extending his hand. "Let me guess—lost already?"
"A bit," Y/N admitted.
"Don't worry, we'll get you where you need to go," Stu said. "Come on, I’ll walk you to class."
As they walked, Stu pointed out various parts of the school, making Y/N feel a bit more at ease. They reached the English classroom just as the bell rang.
"Here you go," Stu said. "Catch you later!"
Y/N found an empty seat and settled in, grateful for Stu's help. As the class started, she noticed a girl with short blonde hair glancing her way. During a break, the girl approached her.
"Hey, I’m Tatum," she said with a friendly smile. "You must be Y/N."
"Yeah, nice to meet you," Y/N replied.
"I saw you talking to Stu. He’s one of my friends," Tatum said. "Do you want to sit with us at lunch? I can introduce you to everyone."
"That would be great," Y/N said, feeling relieved.
When lunchtime arrived, Tatum found Y/N in the hallway and led her to a table where a group of students was gathered. "Guys, this is Y/N," Tatum said. "Y/N, meet everyone."
One by one, they introduced themselves. There was Billy, who had an intense look about him; Sidney, a sweet-looking girl with kind eyes; and Randy, who seemed like the resident movie buff.
"Welcome to Woodsboro High," Randy said with a grin. "Hope you’re ready for a wild ride."
"Thanks," Y/N said, feeling a bit overwhelmed but happy to have met such a friendly group. "It’s nice to meet you all."
As they ate lunch, Y/N listened to the banter and laughter, feeling more at ease with each passing minute. They talked about everything from classes to weekend plans, and she quickly realized that she had found a great group of friends.
After school, as Y/N walked to the bus stop, she felt a sense of belonging. Woodsboro High was starting to feel a little less daunting, and she was grateful for the new friends who had welcomed her so warmly. She knew that this was just the beginning of her adventures in Woodsboro, and she was ready to embrace whatever came next.
