The morning sun peeked through the curtains, casting a warm glow in Y/N's bedroom. She stretched and yawned, glancing at her alarm clock. It was 6:30 a.m., and time to get ready for another day at school.

She got out of bed and slipped into her robe, heading down the hall to wake up her siblings. First, she knocked on Heather's door. "Heather, time to get up," she called softly. She heard a groan from inside, followed by the sound of Heather moving around.

Next, she went to James' room. He was already sitting up, rubbing his eyes. "Morning, James," Y/N said with a smile. "Ready for another day?"

"Morning," he mumbled, still half-asleep.

"Let's get ready," Y/N encouraged, and he nodded, slowly getting out of bed.

Y/N returned to her room to change. She picked out her outfit: a pair of dark jeans, a simple black top, and her favorite sneakers. After getting dressed, she headed to the bathroom to brush her teeth and comb her hair. She quickly applied a bit of makeup and then went to check on her siblings.

Heather was already dressed, wearing a blue sweater and a skirt. She was brushing her hair in front of the bathroom mirror. "You look nice, Heather," Y/N said, giving her sister an encouraging smile.

"Thanks," Heather replied, returning the smile.

James emerged from his room wearing jeans and a graphic T-shirt. "Can we have pancakes for breakfast?" he asked, looking hopeful.

"Sure," Y/N said. "Let's go see what we can whip up."

Downstairs, the kitchen was quiet and still. Y/N started making pancakes while Heather set the table and James poured juice for everyone. They chatted about their plans for the day, laughter filling the room as they teased each other and shared stories.

As the pancakes cooked, the aroma filled the kitchen, making their stomachs growl. Y/N flipped the last pancake onto a plate and brought it to the table. They all sat down and enjoyed their breakfast, savoring the warm, fluffy pancakes and the time together.

After breakfast, Y/N checked her watch. "Alright, we need to grab our things and head out," she said, standing up and starting to clear the table. Heather and James helped clean up, and then they all grabbed their backpacks.

"Do you have everything?" Y/N asked, making sure they hadn't forgotten anything.

"Yep," James said, slinging his backpack over his shoulder.

"Got it," Heather added, adjusting her bag.

"Great, let's go," Y/N said, leading the way out the door.

The walk to the bus stop was filled with the usual morning chatter. The fresh morning air was crisp, and the sky was a brilliant blue. They reached the bus stop just as the bus arrived. Y/N gave her siblings a quick hug. "Have a good day, you two."

"You too," Heather and James replied in unison.

They boarded the bus, and Y/N watched as it pulled away, heading to Woodsboro High. She felt a sense of pride in how well her siblings were adjusting to their new routine. As she walked to her own stop, she reflected on how far they had come since moving to Woodsboro.

The challenges and new experiences had brought them closer together, and Y/N knew they could handle whatever came their way. As the bus for the high school arrived, she took a deep breath and stepped on, ready to face the day ahead.

It was a warm, sunny afternoon at Woodsboro High, and Y/N was feeling more settled into her new school routine. After a challenging math class, she decided to take a break and get some fresh air. She made her way to the water fountain outside, where she hoped to find some of her friends.

The courtyard was bustling with students enjoying the sunshine and the break between classes. As Y/N approached the water fountain, she saw Tatum waving enthusiastically.

"Hey, Y/N! Over here!" Tatum called out, her blonde hair catching the light.

Y/N smiled and quickened her pace. "Hey, Tatum! How's it going?"

"Good, good," Tatum replied, leaning against the fountain. "I was just telling Stu about the party this weekend. You're coming, right?"

Before Y/N could answer, she noticed Stu standing nearby, grinning from ear to ear. "Of course she's coming. It's gonna be epic!" he said.

Y/N laughed. "I guess I'm coming then. Thanks for the invite."

As they chatted, Billy, Sidney, and Randy joined the group. Billy had his arm around Sidney, who gave Y/N a warm smile.

"Hey, Y/N," Sidney greeted. "How's your day going?"

"Not too bad," Y/N replied. "Just finished a tough math class. I needed a break."

"Math can be a killer," Randy said, shaking his head. "But you're in good company now."

Y/N felt a sense of belonging as she looked around at her friends. Despite the recent events in Woodsboro, moments like this made her feel like she was truly a part of something special.

"So, what's this party about?" Y/N asked, curious.

"It's at Stu's house," Tatum explained. "Just a bunch of us hanging out, having fun. You'll love it."

"Yeah, it's gonna be great," Stu added. "Music, snacks, and good company."

"I'm in," Y/N said with a smile. "It sounds like a lot of fun."

As they continued to chat, Y/N noticed how easily the conversation flowed. She felt comfortable and accepted, like she had known these friends for much longer than just a few weeks. It was a welcome change from the nervousness she had felt on her first day.

The bell rang, signaling the end of the break. The group began to disperse, heading to their respective classes.

"Catch you later, Y/N," Billy said, giving her a nod.

"Yeah, see you at lunch," Sidney added.

"Don't forget about the party!" Stu called out as he walked away with Tatum.

Y/N waved goodbye to her friends and made her way back inside, feeling lighter and more optimistic. Meeting her friends at the water fountain had been a simple yet meaningful moment. It reminded her that despite the challenges and fears they all faced, there were still moments of joy and connection to be found.

As she headed to her next class, Y/N couldn't help but smile. She knew that with friends like these, she could face whatever came her way. And she was looking forward to the party, eager to make more memories with the people who had quickly become so important to her.
