The trek back to camp with Kota was tense, every rustle of leaves and distant shout putting me on high alert. Kota clung to my side, his earlier bravado completely vanished, replaced by the vulnerability of a child caught in a nightmare.

As we neared the clearing, I could see the camp in chaos. Teachers and students alike were engaged in frantic battles with various villains. The air was thick with the sounds of combat and the smell of smoke.

"Stay close," I told Kota, guiding him through the chaos.

We reached the main area where several teachers were fending off a group of villains. Aizawa-sensei caught sight of us, his eyes widening in surprise.

"Mori, what happened?" he asked, his voice gruff but concerned.

"Kota was attacked by one of the villains," I explained quickly. "He's safe now, but we need to get him out of here."

Aizawa nodded, his expression grim. "Take him to the safe zone. I'll send someone to guard him."

I nodded and led Kota towards the designated safe zone, making sure to keep my guard up. The other students were doing their best to hold the line, their faces set with determination. I caught glimpses of my classmates fighting bravely: Bakugo and Katsumi blasting through their opponents with explosive precision, Shoto and Shiori freezing and burning their way through the enemy ranks, and Izumi darting between foes with her swift movements.

We finally reached the safe zone, and I handed Kota over to a pro hero who was guarding the area. "Take care of him," I instructed before turning back to the battlefield.

I rejoined the fray, my mind focused on finding my friends and making sure they were okay. The battles were fierce, each villain presenting a unique challenge. But as a class, we fought back with everything we had.

As the night wore on, the tide began to turn in our favor. The villains, realizing they were outmatched, started to retreat. The sense of relief was palpable, but I knew better than to let my guard down completely.

"Everyone, regroup!" Aizawa-sensei called out, his voice cutting through the chaos.

We gathered in the main clearing, battered and exhausted but victorious. The teachers did a headcount, making sure everyone was accounted for. When it was clear that we were all present and relatively unharmed, Aizawa addressed us.

"You all did well tonight," he said, his tone firm but appreciative. "You showed courage and resilience in the face of danger. But remember, this is just the beginning. The League of Villains won't stop here."

His words hung in the air, a sobering reminder of the challenges ahead.

The atmosphere at camp was still tense. Even after the chaos of the League of Villains' attack, the uneasy quiet that followed was almost suffocating. Most of the students were on edge, aware that the battle was far from over. I kept to myself, observing the landscape and analyzing possible threats.

Suddenly, a series of panicked screams pierced the silence. I immediately turned towards the source, my senses heightened. Pushing through the dense foliage, I came upon a clearing where the rest of Class 1-A was gathered. In the center, surrounded by several villains, were Katsuki and Izumi. when did they leave the safe zone, i was lost in thought.

Izumi was fighting desperately, her movements frantic yet precise. She aimed to fend off the villains who had captured Katsuki, but it was clear she was outnumbered. Katsuki, restrained and unable to use his Quirk effectively, struggled against his captors.

I stayed hidden, assessing the situation. Jumping in recklessly wouldn't help; I needed to find the right moment. Izumi launched a powerful attack, but one of the villains countered it effortlessly, knocking her back.

"Stay away from him!" she screamed, her eyes blazing with determination.

The villains laughed, their leader stepping forward. "You're brave, kid, but bravery won't save you now."

I clenched my fists, feeling a surge of anger. Despite my indifference towards Katsuki and Izumi, seeing my sister fight so desperately struck a nerve. I couldn't just stand by and do nothing.

Izumi tried again, this time using a different technique, but the villains were too strong. They overwhelmed her, and she fell to the ground, breathing heavily, her body battered and bruised.

"Time to go," the leader said, signaling to his subordinates. They began dragging Katsuki away.

Izumi struggled to her feet, reaching out. "No... don't take him!"

At that moment, I decided to act. I stepped out of the shadows and unleashed a concentrated blast of weak nuclear force, aiming it at the villains. The sudden attack caught them off guard, and they stumbled, momentarily losing their grip on Katsuki.

"Who's there?" the leader growled, looking around.

I emerged from the trees, my expression cold and determined. "Let him go."

The leader sneered. "Another hero wannabe? You're outnumbered, kid."

"I don't need numbers," I replied, channeling my Quirk. With a swift movement, I manipulated the gravitational force around us, pulling the villains towards me and then repelling them with immense force.

The impact sent most of them flying, but the leader stood his ground, grinning. "Impressive. But it won't be enough."

Before I could react, he lunged at me, his Quirk amplifying his strength. We clashed, exchanging blows, each one more powerful than the last. I could feel the strain on my body, the toll my Quirk was taking and the wear from my previous fight against muscular, but I pushed through it, focusing on incapacitating the leader.

Izumi, despite her injuries, managed to get to her feet and joined the fight. Together, we tried to subdue the villain, but he was relentless. With a final, devastating blow, he knocked us both back, seizing the opportunity to grab Katsuki once more.

"This isn't over," he hissed, signaling for his remaining subordinates. They regrouped quickly, preparing to retreat.

I struggled to my feet, but the damage was done. The villains disappeared into the forest, taking Katsuki with them. Izumi collapsed next to me, her face a mixture of pain and guilt.

"We... we failed," she whispered, tears streaming down her face.

I remained silent, the weight of our failure heavy on my shoulders. The reality of the situation settled in. Katsuki was gone, and there was nothing we could do to change that.

next day

The aftermath of the kidnapping was a somber affair. The camp was in disarray, the students and teachers alike shaken by the events. Emergency protocols were enacted, and a thorough search for Katsuki began, but hope was dwindling.

Izumi blamed herself, her guilt evident in every word and action. I didn't bother trying to comfort her; words wouldn't change what happened. Instead, I focused on the next steps, analyzing our failure and how we could prevent it from happening again.

The teachers called an emergency meeting, their expressions grave. Aizawa-sensei spoke first, his voice heavy with concern.

"We need to regroup and focus on finding Bakugo. This incident proves that the League of Villains is more dangerous than we anticipated. Stay vigilant, and look out for each other."

As the meeting concluded, I noticed Izumi sitting alone, staring at the ground. Despite my earlier indifference, I felt a pang of empathy. I approached her, keeping my distance.

"We'll get him back," I said quietly.

She looked up, her eyes red and puffy. "How can you be so sure?"

"Because we have to," I replied simply. "Giving up isn't an option."

She nodded slowly, wiping away her tears. "You're right. We can't give up."
