I arrived at Sir Nighteye's agency with a sense of purpose. This was my chance to prove myself and make a real difference. Nighteye was waiting for me in his office, flanked by Bubble Girl and Centipeder.

"Good morning, Mori," Nighteye greeted me, his gaze sharp and calculating. "I'm glad you're here. We have a pressing matter to discuss."

I nodded, taking a seat as he began explaining the situation. "Our primary target is Kai Chisaki, also known as Overhaul. He's the leader of the Shie Hassaikai, and we've noticed unusual movements from their organization."

Bubble Girl chimed in, her voice tinged with concern. "Chisaki's generation of villains experienced a significant downfall, but we suspect he's trying to reunite the old villain generation. Recently, he's made contact with the League of Villains."

"But we don't have any concrete evidence of their criminal activities," Nighteye continued. "Our goal is to find proof of the Shie Hassaikai's illegal actions."

I absorbed the information, understanding the gravity of the situation. This wasn't just about proving myself; it was about stopping a potentially catastrophic resurgence of villainy.

"Your first task will be to go on patrol with Mirio," Nighteye said. "Keep an eye out for anything unusual."

I met up with Mirio outside the agency, ready to start our patrol. As we walked through the city streets, he began to talk about his life and experiences.

"You know, I chose the name 'Lemillion' because I want to save at least a million people," Mirio explained with a wide grin. "It's a big goal, but it's what drives me every day."

"That's an admirable goal," I replied, genuinely impressed by his determination and optimism.

As we turned down a quieter alleyway, we noticed a little girl with bandages wrapped around her arms. She had a small horn on her forehead and looked terrified. I immediately felt a pang of concern for her.

"Hey there, are you okay?" I asked gently, kneeling down to her level. "What's your name?"

Before she could answer, a man appeared behind her. His presence was menacing, and I felt an instinctive chill run down my spine.

"Eri, we mustn't cause any problems for the heroes," the man said, his voice cold and authoritative.

I recognized him immediately—Overhaul. My muscles tensed, ready for a confrontation, but Mirio placed a firm hand on my shoulder.

"Let's not engage right now," Mirio whispered, his tone serious. "We need more information before we act."

Overhaul gave us a chilling smile as he led Eri away. "Come along, Eri. We have important work to do."

I watched them go, feeling a mixture of frustration and helplessness. Every instinct screamed at me to stop him, to save the girl, but Mirio was right. We needed to be smart about this.

Back at the agency, we reported what happened to Nighteye. His expression grew even more serious as we described the encounter.

"Overhaul is dangerous," he said, his voice grim. "We need to gather more evidence before we can take action."

I nodded, but the image of Eri's frightened eyes stayed with me. That night, back in my dorm room, I couldn't shake the worry gnawing at my mind. For the first time in a long while, I felt genuinely concerned for someone's safety.

I lay on my bed, staring at the ceiling, the weight of our mission pressing down on me. Eri needed help, and I was determined to do everything in my power to ensure she got it. This was more than just a mission—it was a chance to save someone who desperately needed it.
