Audrey's POV:Thankfully the second week of school was finally over. For some reason the second week of school is always worse than the first.
Reynold went back to being her cold self. I guess the incident yesterday was just a way to get under Noah's skin which she did very well. He couldn't stop bitching about how she got one lucky shot and that she only caught his punch because football tryouts drained him. Sure buddy.
Not only has Reynold been ignoring me but my least favorite person has been a stick up my ass. Lacey Johnson has been constantly flirting with Reynold. Every time I look over at Reynold, Lacey's there. It's seems like I'm not the only one bothered by it either. Reynold's been trying to make excuses as a way to free herself from Lacey's constant yapping. The only time Lacey flocked away from her was when Victoria threatened to light her hair on fire.
"Who's ready for the bonfire tonight?" Charlotte said. We were all heading to my place to get ready.
"I am! I absolutely love this tradition!" Isabelle squealed.
Every year since eighth grade, my friend group would host a bonfire at the end of the second week of school. It started out as a small get together but now it's grown to everyone in our grade. Even kids from other schools come.
"Reynold might be there." Aurora wiggled her eyebrows.
I rolled my eyes. I'm done with that girl. Yesterday was my final straw. Who does she think she is toying with my friends? Yeah no. I'm definitely done with her. The girls on the other hand are really starting to like her.
"You know what I think of her."
"Ugh you're so boring." Charlotte said. "What she did yesterday was so funny. I mean Noah kinda brought it on himself."
"Remember what Reynold said that made him try to bunch her? Yeah he didn't deserve that."
Isabelle laughed. "Come on Addie. Reynold was just teasing him. He's the one that made it a big deal." She shoved my shoulder.
I scoffed and turned the car into the driveway. Since my parents and sister went away for a
parent-child school trip I had the house to myself. We made our way upstairs to my bedroom and began getting ready.
"Do you know who's officially going?" I said as I was fixing my mascara.
"Well us obviously, the boys, some kids from the highschool across the way, some boys and girls on the cheer and football teams. I think that's about- oh and Reynold and her friends." Isabelle said.
Of course. I already see her enough at school now I have to see her outside of it. Kill me.
"Great." I said sarcastically.
"I'm so excited to see Randalf!" Charlotte smiled and fixed her dress.
"You just saw him two hours ago at school." Aurora replied.
"I know. But that's at school with school air. At the bonfire he'll really see me." She smiled.
"Y'all are so cute. It makes me want to throw up." I laughed which caused the others to join in.
We were ready at about 7:15. Thirty minutes before the party started. It would take us about that much time to get there since it was in the middle of the woods.
"Ok let's go." I said as we got in my car.
On the drive up I couldn't help but think about the last time I was driving up through these woods. When I thought I hit someone. I was pulled out of my thoughts when I saw a large fire blazing ahead of us.
