Reynold's POV:

Why did I decide to go back to school?

Currently I was walking into the high school doors. I'm about an hour late. How am I an hour late and 1st period is still going on. I hate hour and a half class periods.

I sluggishly passed classrooms heading to the west wing for history.

I can kill hundreds of vampires at a time but getting up at 6:30 AM is too much. And it's a Monday.

I found my classroom door and knocked.

"Ah Ms. Barbatus! You made it." I peered into the class and noticed the seating changed: two seats together in every row. "As you can see, we had to switch up seating because of how rowdy it was getting. Please take your seat next to Ms. Beaumont."

Fuck off.

I sighed and walked down the first aisle of desks. When I got closer I noticed Audrey was looking anywhere but me. I sat down with a huff.

"Now back to our lesson." Mr. Davis began.

I couldn't focus on his yapping. I already knew about the Holy Roman Empire because I lived in it. He was talking about their war with the kingdom of France. Fuck the French. Sorry Jago and Katharine.

I was too busy observing Audrey. I know I shouldn't keep staring but she is just so beautiful especially up close.

"You know it's rude to stare." Audrey retorted and looked at me.

"Ok." I kept looking at her.

She rolled her eyes. "You're a creep you know that?"

"Believe me. I get it a lot."

"Figures."

"Ms. Barbatus stop talking to Ms. Beaumont." He looked at my desk and noticed I hadn't opened my book. "Why isn't your textbook open? You already know this stuff?"

"Yes sir."

Audrey gave me a look. "You've got to be kidding me." She mumbled under her breath.

"Is that so?"

"Yes sir."

"If you're so smart, when was the battle of Pavia and what was the impact?" He crossed his arms.

"The battle of Pavia took place in 1525. Where the imperial forces defeated the French, leading to the capture of king Francis I of France."

He looked at me shocked and so did the rest of the class. Even Audrey widened her eyes.

"How do you know that?" He asked and pushed his spectacles back up. "We haven't even gotten to that part in the Italian Wars."

"I hate the French. I make sure to know about everything they suck at which includes wars." I shrugged.

"I'm French." Audrey looked offended.

"Sorry love no exceptions." I winked at her.

"Very impressive Ms. Barbatus but I will have to send you to the office for back talk." Mr. Davis said.

"Yes sir."

I was just being honest. Why must I be punished?

I grabbed my backpack and got up. As I was walking down the aisle a girl handed me a piece of paper. Call me she mouthed.

While I was sitting in the office waiting for my name to be called I heard familiar voices.

"Thank God we got out of that class." The girl said as they began walking past the office window.
