Reynold's POV:"You got anything from him?" Killian asked. Jago, him and I were standing around the kitchen.
"Nothing. He was a useless sack of potatoes."
"You kill him?" Jago asked as he grabbed a bottle of scotch and poured all of us a drink.
"Yeah. No point in keeping him around." I took a sip of the drink. "When will everyone be home?"
"Well they were planning to go hunting after the party so probably not til morning. I was supposed to go but obviously somebody had other plans." Killian jokingly rolled his eyes.
"Wish I went with them." Jago chuckled.
"Except for Randalf. Him and that girl were planning to go back to her place." Killian smirked.
I chuckled. "Good for him. He hasn't had action in a while." I took another swig of my drink.
"Speaking of girls," Jago began. "You and little Ms. Beaumont seem to be quite close. So close that you basically reveal your identity."
I scoffed. "It's not like that. Her great grandmother made me promise to watch over her and that's what I'm doing."
"Should've told you to be more discreet." Killian chuckled.
"I remember that lady. The only Beaumont girl who you could never have. Must've really loved her husband huh?" Jago poured himself another drink.
"Not the only." Killian corrected. "Now there's two."
"Nah I think they'll hook up. That girl is constantly giving Rey the look. You know what I'm sayin'?" Jago replied.
"Ha ha. Did you not hear how pissed she was with Reynold? Nah everything that was there is gone man."
"Who would've thought that centuries old vampires would be gossiping like teenage girls?" I smiled.
"Shut up Reynold. You gossip the most out of all of us." Killian said.
"Eh that's probably true." I shrugged.
"Anyway. What are you gonna tell that girl though, Reynold? The adrenaline rush thing won't work much longer. She's smarter than that." Killian said.
"I don't know. What could I possibly say to her that'd she believe?"
"You could just tell her?" Jago shrugged. Me and Killian gave him looks.
"What? That's what I did with Victoria. Now look at us. Still going strong after more than 400 years."
"That's different. Victoria wasn't from a town that kills every vampire they see. They didn't even know what vampires were. Plus, Audrey is from a long family line of vampire killers. Who knows? What if she tells her family and they come for us?" Killian argues.
"Yeah but you guys can't die."
"Dumbass! You can and so can everyone else in our group but Killian and I." I rolled my eyes. "That is not a risk I'm willing to take."
"What makes you think we'd die at the hands of some mortals? Easy pickings for us."
"Jago."
"Fine don't tell her. Not my problem." He pushed himself off against the counter. "I'm going to go hunt. It's always more fun in the middle of the night." He left. Now it was just me and Killian.
"Rey you do have a serious problem. If you don't tell her the truth, your only option might be to compel her to forget."
"No there's no way I'm doing that."
