Audrey's POV:

What. The. Actual. Fuck?

Since the Thursday Reynold and I fought, I couldn't stop thinking about what happened.

Her face contorted into one I couldn't recognize. Her eyes darkened and looked predatory as though I was something to be hunted. Veins under her eyes protruded and her face paled. It was so unsettling yet so alluring.

She tried to turn away before I could see it but it didn't work. She knew what was happening yet had another excuse. I can't take any more of her bullshit lies. First the car, then the thing with Noah and the fight with that drunk guy, even when she threw that guy during the bonfire and now this. She also said she would always be there for me, but it sure doesn't seem like it. She didn't come up to once last week after Aurora died then tried to use some bullshit apology and excuse. And now, she won't leave me the fuck alone. She was doing so well last week. Why change now?

"Isabelle, please let me talk to her." I heard someone beg.

"No. I won't let you. She's been through enough and you're not helping." Isabelle whispered back trying to prevent me from hearing.

"Please..."

"No. I'm sorry, Reynold but you just need to give her some space. She'll come to you when she's ready."

"When will that be?"

"Honestly." She sighed. "I don't know. I don't know if she'll ever be ready to face you. You lied to her."

"I know. But can you at least tell her I would do anything to make it up to her."

"I can tell her but no promises."

"Thank you."

I heard footsteps come up behind me. "Guess who just tried to beg for forgiveness?" Isabelle said as she leaned against her locker.

"Don't say her name. I already heard the conversation. Why can't she just leave me alone? She was doing so well when I actually wanted her around."

"Obviously, she doesn't like to listen to people. You of all people should know that." She smiled.

"You're right."

"Okay, bye princess." I heard Randalf say from across the hall. "I'll see you tomorrow?"

"Of course!" Charlotte giggled. "Bye!" She waved to him as she walked over to us.

"I need to find someone like Randalf." I whined.

"Oh please. You would never date someone like him." Charlotte laughed. "Someone like him is too boring for you in your wise words."

"Yeah, Addie. You always bob for the rotten apples." Isabelle said.

"Sadly that's true." I peaked over at Reynold who was staring at me from across the hall.

"I know you don't want to hear this." Charlotte sighed bringing my attention back to the conversation. "But Randalf said Reynold is really going through it. She really wants to talk to you."

"Yeah when she talking to me earlier it sounded that she was begging for her life." Isabelle agreed.

"I don't care anymore. She had her chance and she ruined it." They nodded. I put on smile and changed the subject. "You guys ready!"

"I'm so ready to shop! It's been too long." Isabelle smiled.

"I know right! It's been too long since the fo-three of us went shopping." Charlotte said and our smiles slightly fell.
