Sunghoon was waiting anxiously by Sunoo's cabin door. It's been hours sice he left the younger in the woods. The sun was already going down and he was worried sick.

A rustling sound came from the trees and after appeared sunoo with his little basket of herbs. Their eyes met, and Sunghoon felt a wave of relief wash over him. The omega took a deep breath and made his way toward the alpha.

“Sunoo,” Sunghoon greeted, his voice gentle but laced with concern. “Are you okay?”

Sunoo nodded. “I’ve thought about everything you said. I’m hurt and scared, but I trust you, hyung. I trust the pack.”

Sunghoon's brow furrowed slightly. "Hurt?" he repeated softly, his eyes searching Sunoo's face.

Sunoo managed a smile, though his eyes remained distant and unreadable. "It doesn't matter. I just want to stay here even if it was selfish of me. I don’t want to go back. Even if let you mark me and it turns out I'm not your mate and that you're lying".

Sunghoon paused. His heart racing with anxiety "What are you saying? Sunoo, I would never..."

He was cut off when suddenly the omega scoffed and threw his basket to the floor. "You would never what? Hide anything, lie, make me feel like I’m lovable when everyone is suddenly my friend when they're only nice because I'm their alpha's troubled mate. guess what you already did."

A tear left Sunoo's eyes and he tried to open the door of his cabin and rush in.

A soft touch on his shoulder stopped him. "Sunoo, please talk to me".

"Fine, I feel left out," he confessed quietly. "Why was I kept in the dark? I don't know what to trust anymore. Are you all just protecting me because we're mates, or do you truly want me here for me? What if I don't want to be mated would I still have a place here?".

Sunghoon's expression softened with understanding. He gently took Sunoo's hand and led him through the open door of the cabin.

Closing the door behind them, Sunghoon turned to face Sunoo with a mix of apprehension and heartfelt sincerity. "Sunoo, I need you to understand why I didn't tell you about us being mates," he began earnestly, his voice filled with vulnerability. "I've never been good at expressing my emotions, but please know this comes from a place of fear and love."

He held Sunoo's hand firmly in his, grounding himself in the warmth of their connection. "I was scared," he confessed, his gaze unwavering. "For so long, I've been alone. The pack, my friends, they're my family, but there was always this emptiness inside me. I never thought I'd find someone who could fill that void."

Stepping closer, Sunghoon's eyes searched Sunoo's face, seeking understanding. "When you came into my life, everything changed," he continued, his voice trembling with raw emotion. "I didn't know what was happening when we first met, why I felt drawn to you. But now I know. it's because you're my mate. My other half."

He swallowed hard, his grip on Sunoo's hand tightening slightly. "When you woke up in that hospital bed and didn't recognize me, my heart shattered," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. "I could barely feel our bond, and I feared losing you before I even had a chance to truly have you."

Taking a deep breath, Sunghoon's eyes brimmed with unshed tears. "Sunoo, you mean everything to me," he declared fervently, his voice thick with emotion. "I want us to be together not because of the pack or some bond, but because I want you with me. You complete me."

He paused, letting his words sink in, hoping Sunoo could see the depth of his feelings. "It's not just about the bond, Sunoo. I can barely feel it, but I know in my heart what you mean to me."
