Sybil, puffy eyed and exhausted made sure to get to the shop early.

She spent the entire night awake, thinking Syre would come home but he didn't. She was worried he was hurt....but mainly she was just worried he was done with her.

After calming down and replaying the argument in her head, she felt terrible. She said horrible things she didn't mean and she wanted to take them back.

Yes, she was mad at him for lying and she still felt like she had every right to be.

But the things that came from her lips were just....awful.

Yet the longer he didn't come back to the house, the more angry she got...again.

"Sybil." Hearing her name, she turned her head, seeing Marcus getting out of his car.

"What's up?"

Marcus stepped up on the sidewalk and shoved his hands in his jacket pockets. "You gotta to come with me."

"I have to open up the shop—"

"ChiChi can open up, you gotta to come with me. Like right now."

She scoffed. "If you're just trying to take me to see him. I won't go. He couldn't be bothered to come home so..."

"Can't come home when you've been arrested Sib." Marcus said flatly and she looked at him with wide eyes.

"What?"

He shook his head. "Whatever the fuck happened between y'all and him last night, it ain't end well. He was arrested for drunk and disorderly, plus assault and battery. He beat some dude to a fuckin pulp and he spent his night in. He called me this morning, he said he wasn't sure if you would answer. They only get one call."

Sybil's heart dropped and she clutched her keys.

"Get in the car, please. We need to the police station and try to bail him out."

"Okay." She hurried toward his car as he opened the passenger side. Close it behind her once she was in. She saw commotion on the block, a couple doors down and she turned her head. "The hell happened there."

"Syre. That's the bar he wrecked. Something about a stool being thrown through the window."

"Oh my....he wouldn't do that."

Marcus shrugged. "He didn't do it...but it was a result of his actions."

Throughout the car ride, all Sybil could do was think about how she acted last night. If this was her fault...

Her emotions got the best of her and she went straight to yelling and screaming instead of having a conversation like a civilized person. A trait that was starting to bite her in the ass a lot.
