"It's been a while since I've seen you Syre." Dr. Evans smiled before looking toward me. "And I see you've brought someone with you."

"This is Sybil...my girlfriend."

I gave a soft smile and nodded. "It's nice to meet you."

"You too, I've heard many good things about you."

I tried to hide my smile but I felt my cheeks go warm. Syre reached his hand over to me and laced his fingers into mine.

"So Syre, what have you been up to since our last session?"

Syre relaxed into the chair and smiled. "Been aight...I moved."

"So I heard, from Howard."

"Man, he talk too much." He joked.

"Maybe...so you and Sybil live together. How has that been going?"

"Real good." He smiled. "I'm a lil clingy."

I shook my head. "You're not clingy."

"Nothing wrong with clingy. In moderation." Dr. Evans spoke. "When I first met you, you didn't really have any relationships outside of your Aunt, Uncle and Cousin. So this...was very surprising to me. In a good way."

"Why?" He asked.

"I didn't expect it so soon. But just by looking at the smiles on your faces I can see it is something very strong. I want to know, is it healthy?"

"Healthy?" I questioned. "What do you mean by healthy?"

"We're all people." He smiled. "We all have dealt with tough situations and as most of us do, we bury the emotions that stem from them deep down and try to be more than them. As we grow, we realize healing is necessary. That it's vital, to form healthy bonds. The times I've sat with Syre, he has spoken very highly of you Sybil. Talks about how supportive you are and how much of a good listener you are." He paused. "I guess what I'm trying to get at is...that you both need to have an equal share of support and listening."

"He supports me." I smiled. "He supports me a lot."

"Are there things in your past that you wish you could heal from?"

I chewed the inside of my cheek and nodded my head slowly.

"Does he know about them?"
