Chapter 29-Most Precious Moment Ever

*2 months later* (5 months pregnant!)

I'm so glad that me and Luke made up. I honestly don't know what I'd do without him by my side. I need him, no matter what. And I'll stick by him, forever and ever.

I woke up to the sound of birds chirping and beams of light peeping through the curtains. I turned over and faced the most gorgeous boy in the world. Luke. I just lay there staring at him.

I had recently been spending a lot of time at the Brooks' house- well mostly just with Luke. We do everything together- do chores around the house, eat together and best of all, we sleep together. Not like that!! Just literally sleeping! I've learnt my lesson as to what can happen when you spend your night with a boy...But me and Luke do have the occasional passionate kissing session. It's so perfect. The way he puts his arms around me and pulls me so close that there's no space in between us. The only thing in the way is my stomach! It's getting bigger and bigger....and more uncomfortable. But it'll all be worth it. I just know Luke's going to be an amazing dad.

"Morning beautiful" said Luke as he'd noticed I had been staring at him.

"Good morning Luke" I smiled back at him.

"Ready for our shopping trip today?" Asked Luke

"You bet I am!" I replied

I got out of bed and decided what to wear. Not many things fit me these days..I can only wear loose fitting tops.

"Are you just going to watch me get dressed or..?" I asked Luke who was leaning on his arm still in bed.

"Of course. What else am I meant to do while such a beautiful woman is in my bedroom?" I gave him a checks half smile and began removing my nightmare. I then put on a sweatshirt and some leggings. Nice and comfortable. Luke soon got dressed and we went downstairs.

Beau was sitting in the kitchen along with Jai, who was making pancakes.

"Morning guys I'm making pancakes! You want any?" Asked Jai

"I would never ignore an opportunity to eat food Jai! You should know that by now! Besides I've got to feed this little boy as well as me" I looked down at my bloated stomach when Luke started rubbing it gently.

"What about you Luke? Pancakes?" Jai looked over to Luke.

"Naa I'll pass, thanks though"

"So what are you guys doing today?" Asked Beau as we all sat down around the kitchen table, while Jai started dishing out pancakes for him and myself.

"We're heading into town to get some stuff for the baby" I said

"Well have a good day you two. I'm heading off to work. See you later guys!" Said Beau as he headed out the door and waved goodbye.

I made sure he had left before asking Jai and Luke "since when did Beau have a job?"

"Since he decided he had nothing better to do with his life hahaha" replied Jai.

I finished my breakfast and Luke helped me up out of the chair and we headed off into town.

*at the shopping centre*

"Ok, I have a list of things we need to get. Lets see...there's clothes, bibs, nappies, other supplies and a cot and a push chair" I said as I opened the short list I had prepared

"Ummm ok let's start with the clothes!" Luke said as he held my hand and interwinded his fingers with mine. We looked around for clothe shops that sold baby clothes before stumbling across a small one just around the corner.

We went inside and was blown away by the amount of clothes that were stored in such a small place!

"Aghhhhhhhh!!!!!" I shouted

"WHAT?!!" Shouted a confused Luke

"Over there! That outfit!!! It's so adorable! Oh my gosh Luke we have to buy it at once!"

"Phew I thought something bad had happened for a second then!"

We stayed in the shop for about 15 minutes. I picked the clothes while Luke trailed behind, carrying everything I handed to him.

Then we went to a different shop to buy a supply of nappies, milk bottles and bibs.

It was lunchtime and we had been walking around for 3 hours.

"Luke can we get some lunch? I'm so freaking hungry it's unreal..!"

"Yeah sure babe, where do you want to go?"

"Anywhere! As loon as the grub's good, I don't care!"

We ended up in a cute little shop that sold sandwiches and sweet things! I decided to get a cheese and ham sandwich while Luke just went for a sweet item and got a slice of chocolate cake.

We bought our food and looked for an available table. I saw a perfectly positioned one over in the corner of the shop and pulled Luke over to it with me.

We started to eat our food and spoke about everything and anything- just like we used to before him and I became a couple. Back when we were friends and nothing more. Wow that seems like ages ago..

I was halfway through my sandwich when I felt something coming from my stomach. I put my food down and Luke looked at me with worry.

"Kayla, baby, what's wrong?"

"I sat back and placed my hand on my stomach, not knowing what to expect. I looked down at my stomach anxiously but as soon as I knew what was happening, I looked up at Luke with the most incredible smile on my face.

"LUKE!! Feel it!! Feel my stomach!! Our baby is kicking!!!"

"What?!?!?! No way! Oh wow let me feel it!"

He leaned over to me and placed both of his hands around my stomach. I moved them to where I could feel the baby kicking. It was like a miracle. We were both almost crying with happiness. This was special, especially for Luke. I could see how much this baby meant to him, and how much he wanted to be everything this baby will ever want (including myself of course).

Luke looked into my eyes , still with one hand in my stomach but the other hand around the back of my head. He leaned in for a kiss and I gladly accepted it.

This was by far the most precious thing I had ever felt and witnessed.
