Chapter 5-Truth or dare

While walking over to Beau and Jai, the whole situation was replaying in my head. we almost kissed. me and Luke. my best friend. did this mean I had been developing feelings for luke without even knowing it or was it just my pathetic teenage hormones making me behave like this..?

I sat down in between Beau and Jai with Luke sitting opposite me. This was just so that it was easier for me to see him and stare at him.

"Since it was my idea to play truth or dare, I'll spin the bottle first!" Said Beau as he begun pouring out 2/3 of his water bottle, leaving just enough water in it for it to spin really well.

Beau spun the bottle and while the three boys were watching it, anticipating who it was going to stop on, I took a sneaky glance up at Luke. He was softly biting his lip ring. I'd never really noticed it before but looking at him do it now, makes me melt. Then he looked up and winked at me while doing his cute little smile. I'd been too busy staring at Luke's gorgeous face to notice that the bottle had stopped on me.

"Haha it stopped on Kayla! so what's it going to be? Truth or dare?" Asked Beau.

"Umm well I'm kind of pathetic at doing dares..So I'll pick truth."

"Alright then, truth. Is is true that you have a crush on Luke? hahaha"

Luke looked up at me and looked into my eyes. He looked worried and anxious about what my answer was going to be. By now, I could tell that there was something between myself and Luke. But at the same time, I still wasn't 100% sure if I really did like him..I mean it could just be one of those crushes where you like them for about a week, then your feelings for them simply vanish... All these thoughts were going through my mind the whole time I was looking at Luke.

"Hey! Earth to Kayla, Earth to Kayla!! An answer some point today would be good you know..!" Said beau as he waved his hand in front of my face, breaking away my eye contact with Luke.

"What...? No no no of course I don't have a crush on Luke! Hahaha that would be so weird because..he's my best friend...ha..ha..ha" I tried to sound convincing and it obviously did as Luke's face told 100 words..his face looked emotionless. Like he had just heard the worst thing ever. But come on, it's not that much of a big deal is it? And besides, I would never actually admit anything in front of Beau and Jai there. It would make things way too awkward.
