" Kya hua baccha, aaj kaal dekh rahi hun bahut zyada soch rahi hai ? Bata na, itna kya baat leke stressed hai jo itna khayalon mei khoyi huyi rehti hai ?? " Haseena asked softly, her voice full of concern.

" Jiji exam aa hi gaya , uske liye thoda sa tensed hai hum " Karishma said slowly.

" Tune padhayi kiya hai na pura saal ? " Haseena asked.

" Aapke jaisa toh nahi , but haa thoda bahut ki hai . " Karishma said with a sheepish grin.

" Phir tensed mat ho, jo hoga dekha jayega. Tu hi bolti hai na tension leke koi bhi problem k solution nikal nahi sakta toh tension kyu kare? Same here, khud k liye bhi apna logic apply kar! Aur itna soch mat, agar exam k time dimaag shaant rahe tera toh accha hi score karegi. " Haseena said calmly.

" Sacchi jiji ? " Karishma asked with a bright face. Haseena's confidence in her was like a balm to the study-related stress that had been disturbing her.

" Tujhe pata hai na hum tere padhayi leke kabhi bhi koi jhuta tasalli nahi dete " Haseena reminded her.

Karishma nodded, her spirits lifted.

" Ek aur baat jiji .... " Karishma hesitated, looking down.

" Ab kya hua baccha , tension toh chala gaya na ab. "

" Haa jiji wo chala gaya, wo shaam ko hum man lagake apke explanation nahi sun rahe the, uske liye apne maaf Kiya kya? " Karishma asked while fidgeting her fingures in tension.

" Koi baat nahi baccha, kabhi kabhi ho jaata hai. Aur tu itna time se yeh sab thoughts apna dimaag mei leke chal rahi thi, yeh sab toh hona hi tha. And uske liye saza bhi mil gaya na. So yeh sab mat socho thik hai, abhi kuch din hai exam ka. Jiji rutha hai ya nahi, agar rutha hai toh kaise manaye yeh sab abhi k liye postpone karte hai, thik hai "  Haseena said, her words comforting her little sister a bit.

" Okay jiji , par apko pata kaise chal jata hai hum yeh sab soch rahe the ? " Karishma asked, being surprised as always!

" Jiji hai hum teri ! " Haseena said, lifting her imaginary collar.

" Wo toh hai . The best jiji ❤️ " Karishma added with a smile.

" Toh jiji ke baccha, aaj pura raat jaagna hai ya sone ke bhi iraada hai ? " Haseena asked with a loving smile.

" Jaisa jiji bole. " Karishma replied with a smile.

" Toh jiji bolti hai k sone jaao apne room mei, jiji bas 5 minutes mei aa rahi hai " Haseena said.

" Pakka 5 minutes na, hum timer lagayege jaake! Aap humko bhagake kaam pe nahi baith jaogi na. " Karishma said, teasing Haseena.

" Ha baba, laga le timer! Hum jaldi hi jaate hai. " Haseena assured her, smiling at her sister's playful challenge.

" Okay! " Karishma left towards their bedroom waiting for her sister to come.

Back into their room, Karishma settled into the soft cushions of her bed, eagerly waiting for her elder sister to return. Within few minutes, the door creaked open, and Haseena stepped in, her silhouette framed by the hallway light. " Maine kaha tha tujhe jaldi aaungi ! " , she whispered, moving to sit beside Karishma.

Karishma shifted to make space, a smile playing on her lips. " Pata tha mujhe aap jald hi aaogi, timer ka baat aise hi bole hum . "

Haseena reached out, tucking a stray lock of hair behind Karishma's ear. The innocence reflecting on her sister's face was something she adored a lot. " Ab so jaa ! "

" Haa apke bahon mei toh neend acchi hi aayegi aaj, nahi toh hum so jaate hai aur aap aate ho kaam khatam karke and subah humare jaagne se pehle hi uth jaati ho ! Pata nahi itna kya kaam rehta hai apko... " Karishma complained cutely.

As the night deepened, the room was filled with the soft glow of the bedside lamp, casting a warm light on the sisters. Lying beside her sister, Haseena watched Karishma as she said, " Aap khud bhi apna aankh bandh karogi ya aise hi niharti rahogi humko... " Karishma asked .

" Ha baba, so rahe hai. " Haseena smiled.

" Jiji, aap aise hi rehna humare sath, humesha ! " Karishma mumbled, her words slurring with the pull of slumber.

" Humesha rahege aise hi " Haseena said, her hand gently stroking Karishma's hair.

There was a peaceful silence, the kind that only comes when the heart is at ease. As Karishma's breathing evened out, Haseena understood that she had fallen asleep. Within few more minutes, her own eyes grew heavy. With a final glance at her sister's peaceful face, Haseena allowed herself to drift off to sleep.
