As the night embraced the world outside, Karishma found herself in the realm of dreams. She was standing in a vast field of golden wheat, the stalks swaying gently in a rhythm that matched her heartbeat. The sky above was a canvas painted with the last hues of the setting sun.

Suddenly, the field transformed into a grand hall filled with peoples — examiners and students, all present there. Very few faces were known to her. And at last she recognised the face that was her comfort zone— her jiji, waiting to see her succeed. Karishma looked down at the paper in front of her; the questions seemed to dance and blur, turning into a language she couldn't comprehend.

Panic gripped her, a cold hand around her heart. But then, she felt a familiar touch on her shoulder, a comforting touch stopping all the panic that was about to uprush through her heart. Turning around, she saw Haseena, her eyes brimming with the same unwavering belief and trust she always showed on her little sister. " Shaant baccha! Take a deep breath... tujhe sab aata hai ! , " Haseena whispered. " Just remember what I've taught you. "

With those words, the hall faded away, and Karishma was back in the field, the wheat now transformed into pages of her textbooks. She reached out, touching the words, and they lifted off the pages, swirling around her, and with that the dream ended.

She woke with a start, the dream still vivid in her mind. Haseena was there, her hand still resting on Karishma's shoulder. That feeling of her jiji present with her , it was a precious feeling and Karishma woke up with a smile. With a smile, Karishma rose, careful not to disturb her sister's slumber.

Karishma tiptoed across the room, the early morning rays filtered through the curtains, casting a soft glow on Haseena's sleeping form. Karishma paused at the door, turning back to look at her sister one more time, a silent thank you in her eyes for the comfort she provided, even in dreams.

' Kitna pyaari lagti hai jiji sote waqt, ekdum cute si, Golu molu si. Khud itna cute hai, aur humko cute bolti hai. '  Karishma thought fondly.

As she stepped outside, the cool air of dawn brushed against her skin, and she took a deep breath. The dream had been a reflection of her fears, but Haseena's words echoed in her mind, "Shaant baccha! Take a deep breath... tujhe sab aata hai!"

" Ek kaam karte hai thoda walk karke aate hai, par humko na dekhke tension nahi karegi na jiji. Chalo ek msg chod denge! "

Karishma wrote on a piece of paper that she is going out for a walk and kept it on the bed side table.

After one hour

Returning home, Karishma found Haseena awake, the kitchen filled with the aroma of breakfast being prepared. "Good morning, Jiji," Karishma greeted her with a smile.

' Bas kuch der hi toh Gaye the hum, itne mei uthke kaam bhi shuru ho gaya Inka! Ufff thoda sa bhi rest nahi deti khud ko. Insaan hai ya robot!'

"Good morning, baccha. Neend kaisa hua? Aaj mere bulane se pehle hi uth gayi. " Haseena asked, her eyes searching Karishma's face for signs of restlessness.

" Kaal apke saath soye the na, mast neend hua. Jiji, pata hai ek sapna dekhe hum, exams leke, pata hai aapne mujhe shaant kiya udhar bhi ," Karishma shared, with a smile.

Haseena smiled, " Yaad rakhna mai humesha tere sath hum, sapne mei bhi and reality mei bhi... "

After almost a month

Haseena glanced at the clock; it was time to leave. " Kaha hai, jaldi kar ! " she called out her sister, her tone urgent.

" Aa rahi hu jiji, bas 5 minutes ! " Karishma replied back.

" Tera 5 minute k chakkar mei late ho jayege baccha " Haseena said in irks tone.

" Ufffo ! Chidho mat... Aa gye " Karishma said as she came running 💨 and planted a quick kiss on Haseena's cheek.

" Dheere , gir jaayegi " Haseena cautioned.

" Aap ho na mujhe pakadne k liye .... " Karishma winked, slipping on her shoes.

" Kuch din pehle hi itna tensed thi aur aaj dekho , asli tension mujhe ho raha hai aur yeh madam ekdum chill hai . Khair accha hai agar yeh kuch din tension free rahegi toh silly mistake nahi karegi. " Haseena mumbled to herself.

Examination Hall

Karishma arrived at the examination hall and located her seat, verifying her roll number against the list. The desk felt cold and impersonal. Soon, the question papers and answer sheets were distributed, and the invigilator's voice pierced the murmurs, " You may begin ! " .

Karishma read the first question, and for a moment, the words blurred, a wave of déjà vu washing over her. She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and when she opened them again, the words snapped into focus. She began to write, her pen moving with purpose.

The hours ticked by, and as the final call to pens down was made, Karishma reviewed her work. A sense of accomplishment filled her; she knew she had given it her best.

Outside, Haseena waited anxiously, fidgeting with the hem of her dupatta. The moment she saw Karishma's beaming face, her heart leapt. " Kaisa gaya ? " she asked, although the answer was clear.

" Theek thak, baaki examiner knows ! 😁 " Karishma replied, her laughter mingling with the chatter of relieved students.

" Seedhe bol na accha Gaya ! " Haseena prodded.

" Zyada bole and marks utna na aaye toh aap hi kut doge na " Karishma playfully pouted.

" Apna best deke ayegi toh kyu kutege hum ? " Haseena asked.

" Aap jano " Karishma replied with a grin.

The remaining exams passed in a blur, and before they knew it, they were over.
