Haseena returned home the next morning, utterly exhausted from the long interrogation session with Raghav. Despite her anger towards her sister, her eyes instinctively searched the room for her.

" Boo!!! " Karishma leaped out from behind the door, startling Haseena.

Haseena shot her sister a look and silently walked to her room, leaving Karishma in utter shock.

' Ho kya gaya inko? Abhi tak gussa h... Tch! ' Karishma wondered.

" Jiji... " Karishma knocked on the door but received no response.

" She must be tired... " Karishma said to herself and went to her room to get ready for school.

" Hum nikal rahe hai jiji... Khayal rakhna... " Karishma said from the other side of the closed door and left for her school.

On the other side, Haseena was staring blankly at the ceiling calculating in her mind the next steps...

" Baccha se baithke baat krne se pehle hume yeh case jald hi niptana hoga... " She said to herself, with strong determination.

After a few hours

Haseena got up from the bed, her mind racing with thoughts. She knew she had to resolve the case quickly to clear her head and have a proper conversation with her sister. She had really missed her and all she wanted was to spend moments with her. She freshened up and headed to the police station, to be greeted by her junior, Inspector Raj.

" Good morning, Mam. " He saluted. Haseena nodded. " Morning... We need to wrap up this case, Raj. I can't let it drag on any longer. " Raj raised an eyebrow.

" Kya hua...? Anything urgent...? " Raj asked.

Haseena sighed. " Raj... Actually, It's personal. Let's just say I need to put this behind me to focus on more important things. "

Raj nodded understandingly. " Alright, chalo, kaam pe lagte hai. " They spent the next few hours going through the evidence and re-interviewing witnesses.

By the afternoon, they had a solid lead.

" We need to follow up on this immediately " Haseena said, grabbing her keys. Raj followed her out.

"Let's hope this is the breakthrough we need." Raj said as he called Nitasha over the phone for backup.

At school

Karishma sat in her classroom, her mind far from the lessons being taught. She couldn't stop thinking about Haseena. During lunch, she found a quiet corner in the schoolyard and sat down, her thoughts racing.

' Samjh hi nhi aa rha kya baat kre unse... Unke chuppi, naarazgi aur nhi bardaasht ho rha... Kab tak naaraz rhegi aise wo... Baat kyu nhi kar leti aap... Accha aapko gussa rehna h toh rahiye na, but silence kyu de rhi ho... Plss baat kar lijiye na jiji... I miss you jiji... Plsss ' she thought, tears welling up in her eyes.

After school

Karishma walked home slowly, rehearsing what she would say to Haseena. When she arrived, she found the house eerily quiet. She always had a spare key with her, with the help of which she unlocked the door...

" Jiji...??! " she called out, but there was no response. She checked Haseena's room, the kitchen, and even the backyard, but Haseena was nowhere to be found. Panic started to set in.

' Kaha chali gyiii.... Humko na batake jaati toh nhi... J..jiji... Subah bhi toh kuch batayi nhi... ' Karishma thought, her heart racing. She tried calling Haseena's phone, but it went straight to voicemail.

' Wo thik h na... ' Karishma's mind was filled with worst-case scenarios. Just then, her phone buzzed with a message from Haseena: " I'm at the station, working on the case. Don't worry, I'll be home soon. "
Karishma let out a sigh of relief, but the panic had left her shaken. She realized how much she depended on Haseena and how deeply she regretted her actions.

Back at home

Karishma paced the living room, waiting for Haseena to return. When she finally heard the door knock, she rushed to greet her sister.

" Jiji, I... Aap thik ho na... " Karishma said, her voice trembling.

Haseena looked at her sister, seeing the genuine fear and concern in her eyes. " I'm sorry, Karishma. I should have told you I was going to the station. " Karishma shook her head.

As she hugged Haseena tightly, a flood of emotions overwhelmed her. Relief washed over her, knowing that Haseena was safe. The fear and panic that had gripped her all afternoon began to dissipate, replaced by a deep sense of guilt and regret.

The tears flowed freely down here cheeks, a mix of sorrow and remorse. She clung to her jijj, feeling the warmth and comfort of her embrace, yet the guilt gnawed at her insides. Her mind raced with thoughts of how she had betrayed Haseena's trust. The fear of losing her sister's love and the desperation to make things right consumed her. She felt a deep ache in her heart, a longing for forgiveness and a chance to rebuild their bond. The panic from earlier left her shaken, but the presence of Haseena brought a glimmer of hope. Despite everything, her sister was here, holding her, offering comfort.

Haseena's pov

Haseena felt the tight embrace of her sister, sensing the torrent of emotions coursing through her. She could feel the tremors of her sister's sobs and the wetness of her tears soaking into her shoulder. Haseena's heart ached, not just for herself, but for the pain she knew her sister was experiencing.

In the present moment, she felt a strange sense of calm. The storm had passed, and they were together again.

Haseena gently stroked her sister's hair, she definitely knew that forgiveness was not something that could be given lightly, but she also understood the depth of her sister's remorse.

She pulled back slightly, looking into her sister's tear-streaked face. " Shh... Baccha... I know you're sorry " she said, her voice steady. " But yeh rona nhi okay... Hum hai na idhar hi, tere samne... I am not going anywhere hmmm... "

Haseena's words were like a balm to her sister's wounded heart. She could see the flicker of hope in her sister's eyes.
