As Aadhira returned to her room, Haseena couldn't shake off the worry from her mind. The sight of Aadhira drenched and shivering lingered in her mind. She decided to check on her after a few minutes.

Haseena knocked softly on Aadhira's door. " Aadhira, are you okay? "

There was no response. Concerned, Haseena opened the door slightly and peeked inside. Aadhira was lying on her bed, still in her wet clothes, shivering uncontrollably. ' Aree yeh change bhi nahi ki, aise toh fever ho jayega isko... ' Haseena mumbled.

" Aadhira! " Haseena rushed to her side. " Dress bhi change nhi kiya tumne.... "

Aadhira's eyes fluttered open, and she tried to sit up but was too weak. " Didi... M..mujhe th..thaand l..lag rahi... hai "

Haseena helped her sit up and quickly fetched a towel and dry clothes. " Hum... Hum help kar dete hai... May I? " Aadhira nodded giving her the permission.

As Haseena helped Aadhira change, a memory of Karishma flashed in her mind.

Karishma was lying on the bed, her face flushed with fever. Haseena sat beside her, gently wiping her forehead with a damp cloth.

" Jiji... aap mat jaao kahi, yahi raho... Aaj office cancel " Karishma whispered, her voice weak.

Haseena smiled softly. " Theek hai, baccha. Aaj office cancel. Hum yahi hai... Tu so jaa... Shh "

" Nahi aap mujhe sulaake office chali jaogi mujhe paata hai... " Karishma said.

" Areeee nahi baba, kahi nahi jaa rahe... Don't you trust your jiji? " Haseena asked.

" Khud se bhi zyada... " Karishma smiled.

" Toh phir.. so jaa... Shh "

Back in the present, Haseena wrapped Aadhira in a warm blanket. She could feel the heat radiating from Aadhira's body. " Tumhe toh high fever hai Aadhira. Doctor k paas jaana chahiye. "

Aadhira shook her head weakly. " Nahi nahi, bas thaand laga hai. Hum theek ho jayege. "

But Haseena wasn't convinced.  " Didi... Kaal jayege na pls... Aaj mujhe nahi jaana mujhe neend aa rha hai... "

" Aree par... accha thik hai lekin kaal subah hi... " Haseena finally gave up.

" Thankyou didi... You are the best! " Aadhira said, smiling.

Haseena smiled, brushing a strand of hair from Aadhira's forehead. " Get some rest. Hum soup leke aate hai tumhare liye. "

" Aree ab soup kyu? " Aadhira tried to resist but Haseena cut her off " Ek zidd maan liye iska yeh matlab nhi ki har zidd maane, so chup chap rest kro " Haseena warned before she left the room.

As Aadhira drifted off to sleep, Haseena sat by her side, watching over her.

.......

The message on the screen brought a wave of dread. The thought of a hidden truth emerging in a moment of weakness was terrifying. The pain witnessed in the aftermath of the supposed death was still fresh – the grief, the sleepless nights, the endless questions. Duty had demanded silence, even as the heart ached to offer comfort.

Balancing duty with loyalty to a best friend was a tightrope walk. The need to protect, even if it meant keeping secrets, weighed heavily. The burden of the secrets carried was immense, and the truth, though inevitable, had to be shielded for now.

Witnessing the pain of a sister added another layer of anguish. Seeing her tears, her struggle to cope with the loss, was heart-wrenching. The bond made the silence even more unbearable, knowing that the truth could bring both relief and turmoil.

In that moment, the realization dawned that sometimes, duty and friendship could coexist. It wasn't easy, but for the sake of those who mattered, a way would be found. The hope was that one day, the truth would heal rather than harm, and the bonds of love and loyalty would emerge stronger than ever.

The reasons behind were complex and dangerous, involving threats that loomed larger than anyone could imagine. The truth, when revealed, would explain the lengths taken to protect those who were loved.

.......

As Aadhira drifted off to sleep after drinking the soup, Haseena sat by her side, watching over her, her minds flooded with memories of her sister. Suddenly, Aadhira began to mumble in her sleep. Haseena leaned in closer, trying to make out the words.

" Jiji... mujhe chod ke mat jaaiye.... " Aadhira whispered, her voice barely audible.

Haseena's heart skipped a beat. " Aadhira... kuch keh rahi ho kya...? " Haseena whispered, her voice trembling.
