The first rays of dawn peek through the heavy curtains, casting a gentle glow across the room. I stir, feeling the warmth of Jennie's body nestled against mine. It's a rare moment of peace, a stark contrast to the whirlwind of emotions and events from last night. I look down at Jennie, her face serene in sleep, but there's a slight furrow in her brow. I can't help but worry.

Carefully, I disentangle myself and sit up, trying not to wake Jennie. But the moment I move, her eyes flutter open, a wince of pain immediately crossing her face.

"Morning," I whisper, brushing a strand of hair from her forehead.

Jennie attempts a smile but winces again. "Morning."

"Are you okay? You look like you're in pain."

She rolls her eyes at me and scoffs. As she said, "What do you think my lower region hurts because last night was... intense?!"

My face winced at what she said, and I felt guilty. "Do you want me to get you something? Painkillers? Water?"

Jennie shakes her head. "Just... stay with me for a bit."

I lay back down, gently wrapping an arm around her. "I'm sorry if I was too rough."

Jennie shakes her head again, this time more firmly. "It was amazing, Lisa. Just... new territory for me. I'll be fine."

I pressed a kiss on her forehead, and she was shocked that I did that to her. "Okay, but if it gets too much, you tell me, alright?"

Jennie clears her throat and nods, closing her eyes and leaning into my touch. We stay like that for a while, the silence filled only with the sound of our breathing. Eventually, I feel Jennie relax a bit more, the tension easing from her body.

"How about I make us some breakfast?" I suggest softly.

Jennie opens her eyes and smiles. "That sounds good. I'll join you in a bit."

"No, you stay here and rest. I'll bring it up."

Jennie is about to protest, but I'm already slipping out of bed and pulling on a pair of shorts and a t-shirt. "Really, Jennie, let me take care of you."

She sighs, but there's a grateful smile on her lips. "Alright, if you insist."

I give her a quick kiss on the forehead again as I feel her eyes staring at my back before heading out of the bedroom and down to the kitchen. The mansion is quiet, and the rest of the family is likely still asleep. I move around the kitchen with practiced ease, gathering ingredients for a simple but hearty breakfast: scrambled eggs, toast, and some fresh fruit.

Lost in thought, I don't hear the footsteps until they are right behind me.

"Morning, Lisa." It's Jennie's mom, a teasing smile on her face. "Making breakfast for your girlfriend?"

Girlfriend?!

I feel my cheeks heat up by that thought."Morning. Yeah, Jennie's not feeling too great, so I thought I'd bring her something to eat."

Jennie's mom raises an eyebrow. "Not feeling great, huh? I wonder why." She chuckles, and my blush deepens.

"It's not like that," I stammer. "I mean, it is, but... you know what I mean."

Jennie's mom laughs, patting me on the shoulder. "Relax, Lisa. I'm just teasing. It's sweet of you to take care of her."

I nod, turning back to the stove. "I just want to make sure she's okay."

"She will be," Jennie's mom says reassuringly. "But if you need anything, let me know."

"Thanks," I say, feeling a bit more at ease. I finish preparing the breakfast and arrange it on a tray, adding a small vase with a single flower I found in the kitchen. Satisfied with my work, I carefully carry the tray back upstairs.
