After the fun we've been, I decided decided to go back to our with Lisa. We walked back to the guest room, Lisa glanced at Jennie, her thoughts swirling. "Your family is really nice," she said softly, fidgeting with her fingers.Jennie nodded, smiling warmly. "Yeah, they liked you a lot."
"I can tell," Lisa replied, a hint of wistfulness in her voice. "It's just... sometimes I wonder..."
"Wonder what?" Jennie asked, stopping to face her.
Lisa hesitated, then sighed. "I just miss my family."
My expression softened, understanding dawning in her eyes. I took Lisa's hand gently as I could sense the shift in Lisa’s mood. Her voice carried a tinge of longing, and her eyes took on a faraway look. It was a look I had come to recognize, a look that spoke of homesickness and a deep-seated yearning to reconnect with her roots. I couldn’t ignore it. I wouldn’t.
“Why don’t we go to Thailand?” I suggested, keeping my tone light but resolute.
Lisa’s eyes widened in surprise, and she looked at me as if she couldn’t believe what she had just heard. “Really? But Jennie, I don’t have the money to travel right now. Flights are expensive, and—”
I placed a finger gently on her lips, stopping her mid-sentence. “Don’t worry about that. I’ve got it covered. I want to take you to Thailand. I want to see where you grew up and meet your family.”
The gratitude and excitement in Lisa’s eyes were unmistakable. She nodded, a smile breaking across her face. “Thank you, Jennie. This means so much to me.”
“Pack your bags,” I said, feeling a rush of happiness. “We’re going to Thailand.”

A few days later, we stood on the tarmac, the Kim family’s private jet gleaming under the afternoon sun. Lisa’s hand tightened around mine as she took in the sight of the jet. Her eyes were wide with amazement, and her mouth hung slightly open in shock.
“You… you have a private jet?” she stammered, turning to me with an incredulous look.
I chuckled, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. “Yes, we do. It’s one of the perks of being a Kim. Come on, let’s get on board.”
As we ascended the steps and entered the luxurious interior of the jet, I watched Lisa’s expression shift from disbelief to pure wonder. The plush seats, the spacious cabin, the attentive staff—it was all a far cry from the commercial flights Lisa was used to.
“This is incredible,” Lisa said, sinking into a seat beside me. “I can’t believe we’re flying in this.”
I smiled, taking her hand in mine. “I wanted to make this trip special for you. You deserve it.”
As the plane took off, we settled into our seats, the gentle hum of the engines providing a soothing backdrop. I turned to Lisa, a playful glint in my eyes.
“I can’t wait to meet your parents,” I said, my tone light but sincere.
Lisa looked at me, confusion furrowing her brow. “You really want to meet them?”
“Of course,” I replied. “I want to meet my in-laws.”
Lisa’s cheeks turned a deep shade of red, and I couldn’t help but laugh softly. “You’re blushing,” I teased. “It’s adorable.”
“Jennie,” Lisa protested weakly, but there was a smile on her lips.
I leaned in closer, my voice dropping to a whisper. “I mean it, Lisa. I want to be a part of your life in every way. Meeting your family is important to me.”
