The experience of getting Ivy's tattoo was thrilling, but the excitement quickly waned as Smiley's attention was drawn to something far more alarming. This unsettling shift was not only distressing for Armani but also deeply troubling for Ivy. Most of the concern came from Ivy's perspective, as she quickly realized that Armani wasn't taking her life as seriously as she should. It felt as though Armani was perched on the edge of a cliff, blatantly ignoring her surroundings.

Ivy recognized that Armani's true nature would not only impact Armani but also affect Ivy in the long term, and she was determined to prevent that outcome. Despite their mutual love, Ivy understood the importance of setting boundaries for their safety. Her ultimate aim was to ensure that Armani received professional help, although she was aware that Armani would resist this idea.

Armani's mood had drastically changed. Her tone of voice was now monotone and flat. The eyes that once sparkled with life now appeared vacant and dull. Ivy was, of course, aware of Armani's mental health struggles and knew she occasionally lapsed into these random moments of silence, but this time it felt different.

A bad different.

When Armani isolated herself from others, it was a clear indication that the outcome would be anything but ordinary. Ivy was making every effort to prevent such situations because the police were already closely monitoring her after her last outburst. Ivy constantly felt like she was racing against time to keep both Armani and herself safely at home, without the looming fear of Armani being taken away. They were both living on the edge, and it made Ivy feel nauseous with anxiety.

Armani was exceedingly careless about the situation, and Ivy was fed up with it. Ivy despised the fact that Armani continued to live recklessly. It made Ivy question whether Armani cared about her safety. Ivy was at a loss for how to convince Armani to practice restraint and maintain a low profile for the time being.

Or forever.

It was an on-and-off situation with them, and the inconsistency was the primary thing that clouded Ivy's mind. She despised the unpredictability, never knowing what Armani would be like from one day to the next. Obviously, Ivy didn't blame Armani and she never would, but it was exhausting because Ivy was constantly at a loss for how to handle these types of situations. The unpredictability made her feel useless and helpless, leaving her drained and frustrated.

When Armani would get into these moods, Ivy felt a deep-seated fear that Armani might lash out on her. Ivy never knew what to anticipate when the moment arrived.

Ivy reclined in the expansive bed, her gaze fixed on the star-studded ceiling above. She and Armani were currently in the familiar walls of Armani's childhood home. The atmosphere seemed to hold a comforting warmth for Armani, particularly during these slower moments, but Ivy found solace in it. She glanced down at her chest where Armani lay, fast asleep and seemingly peaceful , though Ivy knew otherwise. With a soft sigh, Ivy brought her thumb to Armani's cheek, gently caressing her.
