Do you ever get that feeling where everything just seems to vanish so swiftly, and life moves on, but you feel like you're the only one left behind, and you can't help but blame yourself for it? In the blink of an eye, Ivy found herself single for the first time in a long while. The unsettling part was that Ivy's first love was also her first relationship, and the very first time she had decided she wanted to be with that one person. The distinction between first love and first relationship was significantly different.

Although Ivy couldn't relate because it simply wasn't her experience, she found herself delving deeper into understanding the meaning of love. Ivy had been raised by a loving family with two caring parents, but despite that, she had always yearned to experience what love felt like outside of her family.

Armani.

Ivy didn't like the word "single." She didn't think it suited her, nor did she think it suited Armani. Although neither of them had specifically and directly ended things, the harsh words Armani had hurled at Ivy over the phone that day made it clear. When Ivy and Armani first met, Armani had never insulted Ivy in such a way. Despite being a wanted serial killer who could have killed Ivy from the very beginning, Armani had never spoken to her with such cruelty before.

The change in Armani's behavior was as shocking as it was heartbreaking, leaving Ivy to grapple with the painful reality of their fractured relationship. It was as if the person she once knew had vanished, replaced by a stranger who could wound her so deeply with words alone. Ivy felt the sting of betrayal and the loneliness that followed, making her question everything she thought she knew about love and trust.

Armani was unpredictable, and Ivy didn't know whether Armani felt the same way she did at the moment or if she had genuinely moved on with her life. The weight of the situation made Ivy feel nauseous because the thought of Armani allowing her to fade away felt selfish. Of course, Ivy knew that Armani would think the situation with Joy was trivial, but never in a million years did she imagine that it would be the cause of their relationship ending.

The uncertainty gnawed at Ivy, making her question every interaction and every word exchanged between them. She couldn't shake the feeling of betrayal, wondering how something so seemingly insignificant could unravel what they had built together. It was a bitter pill to swallow, realizing that the person she thought she knew so well could let go so easily.

Ivy's birthday was approaching, and there was nothing she desired more than to gift herself the opportunity to write a book. It might seem spontaneous, but Ivy felt an irresistible urge to create a story with her name on it, though the tale would remain anonymous. The fictional characters within the book would symbolize her and Armani's relationship throughout their time together. Ivy was unsure of what she would gain from this endeavor; it wasn't about money. Perhaps, it was about reaching someone out there who was experiencing a similar situation.
